If I introduce him to SC2, he will rake in the GSL winnings and pay his own rent (and mine, incidentally).

I remember playing when I was like 6 years old, my sister was 9 and she taught me, but she learnt by herself and we didn't play online (we didn't even know it was possible) and we weren't any good at all. We would lose against any AI and would not make more than like 10 workers no matter how many time game would last.

But until then, good luck with your teaching! Agree with that, as well as posting replays maybe, I'd like to know how far it goes.

My dad taught me to play chess when I was 7 and I think I was able to beat him pretty quickly. I was pretty damn good when I was a kid, only really lost to adults at the chess club. No so anymore. I'm never teaching my kids to play chess because it would be too humiliating to lose to them, lol. Kids seem to aquire proficiencies very easily if taught at a young age. OP is on the right track to training the next Flash.

Am I the only one who thinks teaching children/infants how to play SC poor parenting? The game is rated T for a reason..it's war with gore, blood, and death. I can't even imagine letting my 8 year old sister watch a full game of SC...heck PLAY the game. You can say all you want that it's not that bad and you can reduce violence and that you are teaching kids not to be afraid of this stuff...but when you're teaching your kid how to play online war before he can barely frigging do basic tasks such as writing or reading...you should know that's pretty messed up.
