Three weeks. That's how long its been since I started this endeavor. Although change hasn't come as readily as I would have hoped, after rereading my first blog today, I know I've come a long way. However, I can't help feeling insecure with my current play style. To win or to learn, that is the question. I find myself wondering how to separate the two. For example, instead of pushing for the win, should I sit back and allow my lead to grow? I'm getting better at recognizing when to be aggressive, and whether or not it'll be successful, but the question remains am I gambling too much against weak competition? Will better players exploit my aggression? The better I get, the higher the stakes feel. But in the end, perhaps I question myself too much. I think if I continue down this path, the answers I seek will inevitabely come. For now, this decisive style I've been utilizing is what I've been striving for all along.

This week, I would like to commit a bit more toward macro. If I can balance out my play a bit more, I feel I can secure a top 25 diamond spot. Doing the latter would not only give me the confidence that I'm steadily improving -- but if I manage to do it while becoming more macro oriented -- I'll feel secure in the style I'm developing. Another thing I want to focus on -- especially this weekend -- is replay watching. It's the first time I'll be doing it primarily for strategic inspiration.

My life outside of Starcraft has been busy this week, which is partially why my blog is being uploaded so late in the day. I moved into a new place, and I've been working long hours, so I'm going to keep my blog shorter today. I know I said I was going to upload some replays, but I changed my mind. I want to reserve that for a point in time where I think the replays are actually representive of how I want to be playing. At this point, I am still developing my style and feel a retrospective point of view would be more beneficial for myself and others.
