EPTFor starters, more subway lines, confusing checkouts (for people who want receipts for cash, they want you to verify with cell phone number or something), metro card as cell phone accessory, etc.
For the first full day in Korea, I first decided to go buy really cheap earphones (and spent around $10 on it... T.T;
since my sennheiser broke when I got off the plane. After doing some errands for my mom, I decided to stop at Apgujong to find a local arcade. Now, for normal people, arcades are thing in the past. However, for music gamers, especially in Korea, there's one special arcade where they host 2 Drummania, 3 Pop'n, 1 Guitar Freaks, 1 DDR, 1 PIU, 1 Sabin Sound, 1 Technika, 1 Jubeat, 2 Ez2Dj, and 3 (holy shit) IIDX.It took me an hour to find the place. I knew the approximate location (like between which streets) but there were too many buildings, and 1 block felt like 3 NYC blocks.
For anyone who loves music games, this place is a must. I might record myself playing next time around.
After that, I headed off to Yongsan to look at some keyboards. Eventually ended up buying DT35. Loved it when I used the PS2 version, and now I'm loving the USB version. Around $16. I got the black one; I'm thinking of getting a white one to make a JangBi keyboard.
Now the next part is more BW related. It's Thursday: no Proleague, no ODT. Nonetheless, I decide to check out the OGN stadium: Where it is, and how I get there, since I plan to visit some ODT/Proleague matches before leaving Korea. When I got to the top floor, I see Killer talking to other Hwaseung players, while Stats chills out at the opposite end on the floor. Turns out, the MBC Survivor Prelims were going on. I stayed there for good 10 minutes to see which players were there: All of Ace (except for 3 who are in Survivor), Stats, Killer, Ssak, Afrotoss (Paralyze), Midas (fucking teddy bear. WTF), Wooki, and... I forgot who else. But players were waiting outside. Normally this doesn't happen; they stay in the main stadium area until they're called to the PC room. However, since the staff were setting up Kart Rider league in the main OGN stadium, the players had to wait outside. Sorry, no signatures/photos today because 1. I did not bring my camera and 2. Even though I had my cell phone, I did not want to bother the players who were in the 'mood' for some serious killin... I mean qualifying.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to next few days, as Proleague wraps up. Here's a question that I ask though: Woongjin vs KT or MBC vs ACE?
