To introduce myself, I am Clbull, I have been playing video games for many years now of many genres. I joined the TL forums around a few months ago now because I was beginning to get quite into SC2 and have made (at the time of writing) around 80 posts,
Games I've been recently playing:
- Starcraft II - This was obvious because I am posting on TL.
- WoW - Been playing for a few years now. Used to play a Hunter but rerolled on a different realm to play a Paladin instead. I also have an issue with rolling alts and have many alts of varying levels.
- Crysis 2 - Recently got this, and haven't found it that bad in terms of the single player. The graphics are phenomenal for a first person shooter and although I normally hate the typical modern FPS title, I've liked this one. The multiplayer is nice, or at least would be if populated servers weren't so hard to find and if I didn't suck at it.
- Dragon Quest IX - I've found this game pretty good although I think that the story in it is a bit weak. It only really involves the main character and the others are just AI controlled group members you can optionally choose to group with. There's a lack of character development in the game and the story progression feels a bit confusing for a single player JRPG.
- Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded - I've liked this game a lot more than Chain of Memories or 358/2 Days. It actually feels more like a fleshed out Kingdom Hearts title than the other two handheld games in the series I've played, and that is surprising considering it was developed for mobile phones originally. 358/2 Days lacked a decent storyline, character development and had one of the crappiest endings I have ever seen, and Chain of Memories was basically the first KH game if you replaced the decent and functional real time combat system with a crap card based system.
But what about in terms of Starcraft? Well I have barely played Brood War and was actually put off by the game originally because of the 12 unit selection limit, lack of automine, normally hating the campaign mode of Blizzard RTS games and the lack of ladder (at the time I got it, only iCCup really still existed.) However, I played SC2, finished the campaign, restarted the campaign again and realised how good it was.
SC2 wise? I am currently Silver League (but beating Gold and Platinum players) and normally play Zerg although I am getting very fed up of playing the race because of how wierd their game mechanics feel, and because of how horrific a matchup ZvZ actually is.
What will this blog cover? That's a good question. It will probably cover my progression in SC2 as a crap player who is trying to progress, may also contain some replays of games I've played and perhaps other games too. I will keep it SC themed to a large degree though.
