I mentioned that I was going to teach Koreans English through a tutoring style, right?

Well, it turns out I overestimated myself because teaching Korean children is way more than I bargained for. Due to the language barrier occuring between us, it's hard to actually get the child to learn. So I decided to leave and go back to sending applications to public schools. They may have unruly classes, but at least I can get along with them just fine.

Thankfully, with the company starting out and all, no contract was signed at all. Damn, I feel so ashamed. DX

sounds like you didn't prepare very well.

but it's nothing to be ashamed of - learn and move on

Not everyone is born for this, but you shouldn't give up too fast. For every problem there is a suitable solution if you take the time thinking about it (or talking with colleagues and bouncing the ideas off them).

Tutoring is completely different from what I was used to when teaching an actual class. I made it a habit to make a lesson plan prior to the lesson itself like any teacher should do. Because I can't bring their resources from the get go, I had to make do with what I had and it didn't work out indeed.

I overestimated myself and I deserve a kick in the head for it.

Still, I kinda expected this to happen. So, I prepared resumes and I am ready to push out tomorrow on public schools.

I made it through the whole shift of 12-10 PM. I had to see it through, but it's the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

when i was learning a new language i found that it was easier if i ate the language dictionary, I was trying to be taught/learn and as i ate more dictionary's i could speak and start to flow sentences in the given language. But as you are teaching kids i wouldn't expect you to use this method in till they at least 10years +
