That is incredible.
The issue however is getting people to remember that they signed up for it. I think the easiest ways to do this is by getting them to come to our website and forums, participating in tournaments frequently, and through twitter. I would like us to have 50 followers by the end of the league. That is a lofty goal but I believe it to be attainable.
On the note of the actual tournament I believe that everyone did really well. Sadly we did have some team kills due to some unlucky bracketing. However if we had a full house 64/64 then that would not have happened.
Daniel(Safeword) did manage to get lucky and got byes all the way to the round of 16 afterwhich he lost to Karlo(meFTW) in the round of 8 proving that the byes were not wasted on a skilless player.
Benson(IcedTea) played some good games despite having the misfortune of getting the longest part of the bracket and he ended up in the round of 32.
Karlo Made it to the semi-finals losing 2-1, Forcing his opponent to drop his first game in the tournament.
McDonough(McDonough) was able to also make it to the semi-finals with early agressive play, he may have made it to the finals if it was not due to time conflicts he had to forfeit his semifinal match.
Randy(birdkicker) made it to the round of 16 before he fell to the eventual champion, He is currently qualified for the Grand Final, so there is no shame in that.
Ryan(oneshot) and Anthony(Ziddy) both fell to fellow sG members which reminds me of a tournament (Koreans at MLG Colombus anyone?)
sLC (P) won the tournament vs Thor (Z) in an exciting series of games 3-1. He will be getting the number 1 seed in the Grand Final. If you see him on ladder be sure to congratulate him.
On a side note, Anthony beat him during the next days Mondaily for his second daily championship in a row. Anthony will be a force to be reckoned with over the next three weeks.
If you are worried about not qualifying, I can assure you that every week you participate, your odds of qualifying increase exponentially.
Even when it comes to week four, you can still definitely qualify if you get into the finals.
