With a lot of errands to run, I had little time to devote myself to SC2. Rather than play the usual 5 games or more, I went for 1 match a day.
After all the work is done, I went back to playing Starcraft 2. So far, I noticed that my MMR has increased since the last time I played. I managed to be slightly favored on the majority of my matches, which is kinda neat. After finishing up a TvZ, the rest of my matches were losses, specifically 6 matches, which is kind of a letdown compared to my last losing streak of 4. XD
In fairness, there were various factors why I was losing. I forgot that since my cousin is using my connection from another spot in the house, my latency was halved. And my PC was starting to screw on me in terms of framerate. And the most obvious reason why I have been sucking as of late is because I did not play enough games in the past.
In a way, this suckage on my part was disheartening. Still, there is a bright side to this. I am a few steps closer to being promoted to Silver, and I think I can recover my losses after a brief set of warmups on custom games.

I wonder if you can get into a good groove if you're only playing one match a day. Usually when I play ladder, I'll purposely make sure I can play a bunch of games in a row, because I know my first two won't be great performances. They'll just be warm-up games.
It would stink if you never got past a warm-up game every day!
But yeah, I guess you gotta play whenever you can find time. If you're busy, that's life.

You can definitely recover no problem, 6 games isn't even that bad. I've had 15-20 tilt induced loss streaks at diamond more than once, usually because I come back from being rusty and then get really mad when I don't do as well as I used to, causing me to get even worse and resort to crazy/stupid strategies to try for an easy win. On the bright side I always see a big improvement the next day. Especially since lag was a factor it's no big deal at all.

5-6 loss streak is pretty common. The other night I lost 6 straight including 3 to select lol that was fun.. I used to just play 1-2 or no ladder games per day but recently I have been trying to play more. The more you play the less significant your losing streaks are. When I was playing fewer ladder games, when I lost I would be pretty upset. But the more I play, the more I learn from my losses instead of just getting flustered

I should also note that 2 of my losses were more than deserving for my opponent since I faced him twice in a row while laddering. He might be the very first Toss opponent to actually use Phoenixes against me. And he knows how to make them extremely pesky. And on top of that, I should have killed his Warp Prisms when I had the chance. His play is solid beyond any doubt really solid, although I think this is probably basic for most Protoss players.

you being favored isn't a good thing o.O it means you are playing people worse than yourself and you have the better chance of winning. What you want to be doing is beating people who are slightly favored/favored over you.

I know. Though still, I think it's nice to know that I am getting somewhat better. On the other hand if I am favored, I am kinda pressured to win the game whatever the cost.

One thing I tend to do before playing ladder games is to join a custom 1v1, or 2v2/3v3 ladder, just to get the fingers and mind warmed up. For me, even missing a day can throw my game off so it's nice to use these non-serious games as a launch pad.
Not that I take 1v1 ladder super seriously, but I take it more seriously than 2v2 or 3v3

Only playing one match puts a big hamper on your play.
I recently started playing and after several days of not playing I find my multitasking/game sense go to shit and doesn't return until I've played at least a few games.
So don't feel bad
