I absolutely agree. In fact, I think you're being too generous. I'd say idealism always needs to give way to reality.
If you didn't give enough of a crap to do well in 5 years of college, law school will chew you up and spit you out. You're going to have to change who you are a person before you even consider it. Good luck is all I can say.
