Hey,
So while I'm new having only made an account recently, I've been around StarCraft since the original. Been in a few clans: (Dark`, ~G]{, (gate_keepers of which i was the founder) and the last clan I was active on in BW was killer pro. (channels were op pros, killer pro, and frump - and our motto was: Clan Pros: not a clan!)
After the founder of killer pro left (Pat, went on to form a private broodwar server PGTour), i took over ownership and the website for a while. I liked Pros because it was a mature gaming room. (mostly adults) I did not put much effort into it, the membership dwindled and i finally stopped idling a bot in the op pros channel because no one came anymore, and that was sorta the end of it.
On SC2 I played non-stop for a few months after its release, (sadly never got a beta key) and got to # 15 on my platinum division list, and then life happened for a while. (work, etc...) 16 weeks of not playing but still subscribing to the GSL on GomTV, and watching lots of awesome games. Don't get me wrong, my life is still very blizzard oriented; I take breaks all the time to play Lord of Destruction, > and when I was baking something the other day, I refered to the cooking directions/ingrediants required as the "build order"... lulz! Anyways, I've got things in my life back on track again, and have scheduled time in for gaming.
I only play Terran; I've played the other races in the campaign, and that's it. My micro is a little rusty these days but generaly is good, and my macro has always been terrible. If there was one thing I would fix about my play-style, it would be to improve my macro. If you want to meet up with me, you can find me idle in channel "clan x17" or channel "motel" on starcraft 2. :o)
Right now I prefer to play 2v2 or 3v3, but I enjoy a good 1v1.
edit: oh yeah, almost forgot my nick has always been [tag]HawkHunter[tag] - It's HawkHunter on NA right now ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)

Pat, if I remember, was from Pgtour. If that's the same Pat, he was quite the figure for founding a laddering system that involved gathering players of all skills.

hi, welcome

yeah, that's what it was called - PgTour - and the other one was WGT - thanks Pat gave pros to Topher714 and I - was a long time ago now, but that's so cool you remember him

i have all the original artwork from pat from the killerpro.com site still and a few past versions of it - cool that you have a snapshot of it *warm fuzzy feeling*

If you're still able to keep in contact with him, tell him thanks for the amazing work he's done. I've never really appreciated it then since (I'm probably wrong here but) gamei or some other laddering system was actually more popular at the time. I remember that PGTour had many amateur level players during it's early stages, but little did I know it was going to serve as a foundation for the best known laddering system for Brood War (with ICcup as its successor).
I'm sure others are curious as to how he's been as well. Like CA stated, he just sorta up'ed and out'ed out of nowhere.

Ya, I actually havnt been able to talk to him or see him almost at all since he left killer pro. Last I heard he was quitting everything to spend time with his family. I think his spouse had threatened to leave or something? That's a rumor though - and i have no way of factually backing that up :p
