Over the course of the day I played some matches and had a pretty neat winning-streak going but at that point I also started to feel more nervous whenever I hit the button because I knew that my next opponents will be harder than before. When I look at the match history I can clearly see how my opponents where going from high diamond to mid master over the day.
The search for opponents sometimes drives me crazy... You have nothing to do with yourself in that time but drumming a rhythm with your fingers and waiting for the countdown. When I remember the game I just played its hilarious how I started fumbling with my fingers while waiting for my opponent to load. dESTRO was his name and terran his race!
Well my stats vs terrans aren't that terrible and I got a somewhat solid understanding of the matchup. Added to that I had won my last 6/7 games and 2 of them were against Terran so I felt confident but threatened at the same time. The name dESTRO rung some bells and I quickly concluded that I must have played him some times on ladder. PvT, Master vs Master and the game begun...

I started at the 3' o clock position while dESTRO spawned at 9' o clock. The overall start BO's were pretty simple and while I was going with 2 Gate Robo into Expand he opted for a 3 Rax into Expand and a Stim-timing later in the game. Directly at the start he pressured me with 2 Marauder and a Marine but I traded those units for a Stalker which was not that bad of a trade. We both followed our play up with expanding and my observer saw his 3 Rax and engineering bay so I was prepared for his following stim push. I got supplyblocked shortly at 100 food but non the less managed to hold the push with minimal losses. I guess I got too passive after that and what followed was a macro slugfest that was pretty intense. We both took our 3rd and I positioned my units around my bases so that drops became less effective. (Unfortunately I moved my units in the wrong moment away and got dropped *_*). I upgraded like a madman out of 2 forges and got my gatewaycount up and the slugfest continued. We traded 200/200 supply armys for seemingly forever. 6 base vs. 6 base around 18 barracks vs. ~15-17 Gateways and 2 Robo's. At the end we both took out each others last 2 mining bases at the same time and met again in the middle to decide it with a final fight. Well for me at least it looked like the final fight. I came up on top in that fight but soon ran into another army that was macrod up so fast I couldn't even blink ... Well he had more minerals banked than me and I had to gg out after our armys crashed again for the 123423234 time ^_^
To me that was one hell of a 40 min game (ingame timer) and I am really happy to have played a heavy macro game like that. I sure needed a short break after it but it makes me excited that there is the possibility for such long macro games! Kudos to dESTRO at that point. I do not know him but he simply outmacrod me in that game and I'd love to play him again.
I watched the replay about 2 times now and after you hopefully enjoyed It I'd like to hear your opinion about what to improve (:
I got to some conclusions my own and feel like I switched to late to collossus and did not control the map properly to scout when he was expanding. (I wonder if I could have rolled him some time after the stim stiming?)
A huge issue for me is the spreading of my ht's. I did not manage it in that game and I believe it to be pretty hard. I usually have them in a different group than the main army, but against so many ghosts its pretty hard to split them effectively so I just let them run besides my army and hope to get up some storms/feedback before the emp hits. (If you got a superior way of splitting ht please let me know).
Well thats it for me, I guess my break was long enough and I should go back to playing. -> 2 Hours or so to go until NASL. Will be 2:30 in the morning then ^_^
