When I play Zerg, I favor attacking with Mutalisks/Corruptors and Brood Lords. My resources are focused on the production of those units and at the same time tech them up as soon as possible. However the problem with this sort of build I did is that I lack a solid defense should my opponent push out first, save for a Spine Crawler or two. After seeing my replays, I am wondering what can be a decent defense against those types of pushes?
I could go for a lot of Roaches and back it up with a couple of spore crawlers. Or I can mix things up with some Hydralisks and Infestors as I have hardly used those units. With Hydras and Roaches being pretty damn slow outside of creep, I think they would make a decent distraction at best especially if my opponent goes for something like an all in style.
On a different note, I think I might need to work on a build I can use specifically for ZvZ. Or make some changes to my Roach Opener by adding an Evolution chamber a little earlier than what I usually do, which is while my hatchery becomes a lair which would delay me an expansion for a few seconds or so.
Alrighty then! Now that I have finished blogging, it's time I warm myself up for more laddering madness. I seem to have dropped 3 ranks due to the other players keeping up and I don't like being outside of the Top 25.
