2) I got some wierd kind of nasal spray from the doctor a few years ago when I had a bad allergy season. I was driving to work in the morning and suddenly my nose and eyes started running like a firehose had been opened. I literally had to pull off the road and was actually scared I was going to crash because I couldn't really see. The sprays goal was to shrink the snot glands or something (real medical term!) so it was a cumulative effect kind of thing, It felt quite gross taking it at first but it worked like a charm. If yours is bad enough, maybe investigate if thats an option that is appropriate for you. Thank goodness that was a one off seaon for me, I symathise with bad allergy sufferers.

2) I have year round allergies, I take allegra on a regular basis now and it seems to have helped quite a bit, I do take diphenhydramine (benadryl) one or two of the 25mg pills depending on how bad it is if it flares up, course it knocks me out so its mostly at night. Mucinex-D and robitussin if it starts spreading into the bronchials etc. Not much else you can do unfortunately, I did allergy shots for years and nothing helped, I just have to treat signs and symptoms.
