sigh havent been able to play all day. i just moved back to my parents for the summer and the internet is cutting out for a couple of seconds like every 5-10 mins and it drops me from games if it is bad enough so im scared to go ladder and just lose from disconnect.

i think it might only be happing to my laptop ill have to check my dads. but my parents pay a lot for this internet. we get 20 download and 2 up so ill have to call Cox Cable tomorrow if my mom ever finds the bill so i can get the accnt info. sigh.

anyway, any ideas on why the internet is dropping like this? its not happening as often now but it still does sometimes.

Keep on trying.

It might work now that it's eased down a bit, otherwise you should phone your cable company.

Hey try moving closer to the router. I know some people's rooms and the router's room are located in different parts of the house and possibly even different floors. This will definitely mess with the reception strength. Also, if it is an older router, I have found that newer a newer OS like vista or windows 7 doesn't work as well with it. Otherwise, good luck. I know how frustrating it is when you lose connection at random times for several minutes when everyone else in the house has perfectly fine internet... shit is not cool.

i wish this were the case but alas, i am in the room right next to the router.
its not the router though i have full bars to that just the interwebs keeps dropping
