My name is fatum, im 26, and I have deep vocational love about teaching. My long term goal is to become the best coach in the world (yes, I said "long term" ), and my short term goal is to meet serious players who wish to reach the top as much as I do.
Im posting this because im trying to meet those players, people whose life-dream is to become a programer.
My life-dream is to help people achieve their dreams, so my dream/goal in sc2 is to become pro at coaching.
Thinking about how to join both dreams, we should talk about two things:
1) What do I expect from you.
2) What do you expect from me.
I can answer the first one, and I will in the next paragraph. If you are interested in what im offering, you can reply to this blog talking about the second one.
So, what do I expect from you:
1) Your goal must be to become the very best you can be, allways aiming to climb as high as you can dream.
2) If you want me to invest my time on you, you should be deeply motivated towards our goal. With deeply I mean to be ready to invest your hard work on the topic. Serious practice schedule, will to respect the schedule 100%, etc. Dont expect this to be easy, it wont.
3) We will spend almost 100% of our free time together, so we need to get along well. You must like me and my mindset, I must like you and your mindset. This journey will be long, it will never work without this.
4) Good ability to understand constructive criticism. I will never yell at you, ever. Even if im angry because of irl issues, I will never yell because X or Y is not going well. I expect you to do the same, I want you to criticise my work in a constructive manner. We must rely on each other.
5) Nonstop thinking. I want you to allways try to punch your limits. This can't be done without the ability to analyse what you do. To analyse something you must think about it (obvious). What I expect from you is the will to think about fears without fears. If something in your real life is not going well, it will affect your gameplay. I want you to be intrepid with this, I dont want to get asleep in the boredom of someone who has resigned even before trying.
As you can see, I still didnt talk about leagues. This is because I dont give a fuck about what league are you in atm. I dont care if you started playing rts yesterday or 10 years ago. If you have the love about esports and you think you meet what I expect from you, then im ok.
To measure my skill level somehow, so you can know more about me before replying, I started playing rts with sc2 on release date (less than a year ago) but i've been investing my time in esports since 2004, 8 years ago. My coaching skills could be somewhere near mid-top master (aprox). My execution skills are real shit because I dont care about them. I spend almost 100% of my freetime watching replays, understading the metagame, watching tournaments and thinking about ways to develop my coaching skills.
I havent find any master player to coach yet, so be really critic with this paragraph.
Also, I play in the EU server, but with the use of dropbox, mumble and other useful tools, we could jump through that gap somehow. It's a handicap not being able to observe your practice games in real-time, but if we feel that the effort is worth it we could live with that 'till any of us get another account on the desired server. I think it could be something to think about, just a possibility.
I think that a 3 people team could work the best (1 coach, 2 players), but I feel that finding only one person that meets this expectations is hard enough. Who knows...
So, convince me that you are what im looking for, and tell me what your dream coach is, so I can see if im what you are looking for.

edit: I dont charge for doing this. I do it because I love it.
