So I have hit some kind of wall. I am a high diamond protoss, defeating midmaster terrans and protoss left and right but when I face zerg I just lose, really hard. No idea what to do.
So then I just thought, if you cant beat them, join them. With the recent infestor buff zerg became even more OP so I am thinking, why not? It will take me a few weeks to learn but I think I will achieve better results and I will prolly get into masters league.
What do you think? Is it worth it to keep going as protoss even though I'm getting rolled by baddie zergs? If so, any tips on how I can play pvz? Any benevolent coaches that can teach me?
Zerg training partners are bad, because, well, they dont know shit about protoss to be frank. They want me to do things that are impossible to beat them etc...
So, what is your opinion?

My personal opinion is... Do you enjoy Protoss? If yes, practice your PvZ, do a little research on the match up, etc... get some builds
If not, switch.
However, if you're sole reason to join Zerg is because they own you, don't you're going to be in a lot of pain because you dread one match up, switching races takes some effort, because you have to relearn new match ups.

just wait for bisu to swtich to sc2, then PvZ will be your best match up.

I enjoy protoss, but I feel I can do way better with zerg and perhaps I'll learn to like it?

Play whatever race you enjoy the most.
|
Yepyep. Play whatever is fun!
|
What do you play for? Pick whichever race accomplishes that for you.
|
Play what you find is fun, im a master protoss but i find playing zerg fun so i do it sometimes
|
Play what you like the most. If you like what your playing, then continue. If you feel you can do better as another race and you like said race. Then switch. As usual Teamliquid can't make your mind up for you. Its all up to you.
|
If you're thinking about it, then sure, do it. I switched races in Brood War about 1.5 years ago. I was playing Protoss, got bored, and switched to Terran because I thought it would be cool. Turns out I liked it, and now I play Terran.
Basically, do whatever the hell you want. :D

If you don't know... try playing team games as zerg for a week and decide if you /like/ it. If you don't like it, why put in the effort to completely learn a new race? Zerg may seem super awesome and like they roll face, but it's vulnerable to lots of early game cheeses and pressure, and it's a different style of playing. You will find all races have particular difficulties. Maybe one suits you better than another. Just find the race you love the most and stick with it.

If you switch to zerg, you aren't going to enjoy life so much. You'll lose a lot to stupid all ins and one base plays, and if you do reach the midgame, you'll be up against the wall trying to do 10 different things in order to actually attack someone and have any success. You'll mess up an attack, and a colossus ball will steamroll your entire base, or your mutas will fly into a thor once and a terran will decimate your base. There's a lot of stuff that will go wrong, and its going to take a long time to get to the point where you can feel solid and win games, but hey, go for it man.

yeah something like this, whenever something feels really imbalanced, try it from the other side
