Anyway, tonight's matches seemed dominated by Zerg. I got killed by Mutalisk harassment in most of them. I either wasn't producing Marines fast enough, getting caught while they were out trying to find the Spire so I could kill it or being out-macro'd. One of my wins was against a Zerg player, which was relatively satisfying, while the other was against a Protoss player who tried to go quickly into Dark Templar.
The last was a TvT game that really demonstrated weaknesses in my play. I became worried about teching up into air superiority rather than focusing on my macro - building SCVs, Marines and depots, spending my minerals, etc - and I got crushed when my attack broke on his Marine/Tank ball. As much as I blog about these fundamentals and aspire to produce commentated video replays demonstrating how to grasp them, I know I have a long way to go and tonight's matches drove that home.
I hate going to sleep feeling dejected, but continuing to play at this point is like a gambler in Vegas chasing their losses. Better to cash in what few chips you have and start again fresh tomorrow.
