Remembering a song....

So, I've been listening to this song from Portal 2 (no spoilers)

Well, there is another song, I've heard in the last year, sounds so much like this. I THINK it came from a video game...honestly I don't know. I've been trying to figure it out for hours tonight, and I can't...please, help.

NOTE: it sounds A WHOLE LOT like this. The beat, sounds, etc sound like it...a little different, but not too much. I wish I could help more

long shot but, Gary Jules - Mad World? Doesn't really sound similar, but it's the only slowish piano song that I can think of related to video games (commercial).

Unfortunately, I've been suggested Mad World as well but that's not it. (I can see why people would think so...)

It's so close to the vocal sound of the person dinging mixed with damn near the same rhythm and sound (The first 5-10 seconds are dead on...)...

I've tried those 'humming' sites, but I don't remember enough of the song to give me any leeway....it's a terrible feeling to be so close to knowing something and then never being able to figure it out

Really long shot from me here but, I'm reminded of the song from the Dead Island trailer when I hear this. Definitely don't think they're as similar as you state the song you're thinking of is to it though.

That song reminds me of the first track off of Boxer by the National. Check out the rest of the album if you like it - definitely one of my favorites.

Unfortunately not. The vocals in the song I remember sound like the same person singing in the song with the OP. Even the music part sounds just about the same, save for a slight beat change.

I've gone through what seems like all of the bands video's on Youtube in hopes that it was them, but alas
