EPTHello everyone,
Before I get into details it’s really a nice day today and I’m happy.
Anyways…..
I first started to play sc2 month after the release of the game, I really liked Protoss so I ended up playing with them. One of my “better” sc2er friend suggested for me to do 4 gate like every match and I listened because he was better than me. I lost interest in the game like week after… Doing the same build over and over, I felt like I wasn’t getting better. I know 4 gate is necessary to certain extent and I know repetition makes perfect, but I felt as if I wasn’t getting better. I wasn’t really bored of the game, but I was just frustrated that my understanding of the game did not improve at all. I just felt like I was doing my little own thing through the game and hoping that I win.
Two or three weeks ago I coincidently met a friend who also played sc2. He somewhat convinced me to try the game again. He told me about this site and sent me links to replays, builds and etc. I picked up 3 gate expand (still trying learn it perfectly) and my view of the game really changed. I just fell in love with this game, even though it’s just one extra build I know.. 4 gating became fun time to time just because I would have some idea (probably noobie idea xD) on how to transition in case it fails.
I realized that sc2 is more fun when you understand the game more and more.

I was wondering if anyone is willing to mentor, coach, give advices or practice and review replays with me. I want to keep learning about sc2.. I really want to learn the concepts, theories, thought process and everything to related to the game.. (I know I’m being greedy xD).I do watch replays and etc, but I would love for someone to explain the thought process that went into certain decisions and etc. I know there are coaching threads, but I thought making blog will allow me to explain my self better and keep track of my improvement.
Currently I’m playing protoss (low gold), but I have no strong preference of one race (I honestly want to learn as much as I can).. However, If no one can mentor or coach me (I know people are busy and it’s huge favor to ask) I would appreciate it if you guys can point me to the right direction.
OH YEAH SOMEONE told me to practice my basics such as hotkeys and I’m trying !!
