In the loss vs carvalho, I got cannon rushed and failed completely at holding it off. Moreso, I put my Nydus Network in an extremely vulnerable location, so when carvalho came in to finish me off, and all my units were sitting in the network... Well, there wasn't much I could do without any units. Fun fact: if your Network dies while spawning a worm, the worm doesn't finish.
The loss vs insanekami apparently should have been a win. Insanekami wasn't sure how he managed to kill me, but I told him quite certainly that it was because my macro completely slips when I'm doing my Nydus attacks. That's something I really have to work on, and it is something that I did work on, and did better in the following few games.
I also have to get into the habit of doing more two-pronged Nydus/muta or Nydus/Nydus attacks. The only game-winning move I have at the moment is "Nydus into the back of your base!", and if there's no pressure on the front door, it's often hard to find a spot to drop a worm in the back. The front-door attack can be something as simple as a few zerglings and I'm sure it'd get the job done.
I have a frickin' build checklist sitting on my second monitor, with all the important stuff laid out pretty clearly. I don't look at it while I play. Why not?! I really should, so that I can stop forgetting to build things like Evolution Chambers and Roach Warrens.
