Since no one commented on my last post, I figured I'd just write a second chapter and see if any1 reads it.
I will also probably add some short stories of mine which are not SC2 related so I can get some feedback.
Planet X – Day 87
Same old routine every day, getting sick of it. Nothing but drills and cleaning duty all day long. I'm itching for battle. Shoot some brainz yo.
I didn't train for two years to just wait. There are raids on the Zerg all over the sector, only here we do nothing. There are rumors that even the Protoss showed up for the fights, must be some sight.
I got a feeling that everything is going to change soon. A new guy arrived at the outpost today. A weirdo if you ask me, gives me the creeps. When we saw him at first he wore a strange suit with an even stranger mask, couldn't see his face at all. People are saying that there are soldiers like him all over the sector lately, special forces they call it. Their official title is "Ghosts". I heard that they can disappear from sight and read minds, but that sounds oddly speculative.
Anyhow, I think that this "Ghost" has something to do with our long waited raid on the Zerg here. If I'm right, we should be moving in the next few days. The Federation sent some SCVs down here to build a bizarre building next to the outpost. It looks taller then the usual building, never seen anything like that before. I wonder if it has anything to do with the newcomer.
Since the public execution there haven't been any incidents between the veterans and us. Can't say the tension has disappeared though. Nothing is happening on the surface, but you can still feel resent between the groups. It's only a matter of time until it explodes all over again.
The Federation also started to train a new type of soldiers. They're called reapers. It's a very cool technology actually; they put jetpacks on the soldier's back and they can now kindda hover in the air and jump on and off high ground. I wonder what will happen if you fire a bullet into that jetpack of theirs, the whole thing will blow sky high, hehe, must be quite a sight. They're a crazy bunch alright; I wouldn't go with that thing on my back even if they tripled my salary…
Times sure are changing. Or at least that's what the veterans keep saying. I heard there were a few other new technologies that we still didn't see in combat, hope they will actually make a difference in the war.
Well, nothing else to write about I guess. Later yo.
