Micronesia, why don't you keep the quarters for doing laundry? Personally, I do have a large change container myself, but I've been using it for refilling MetroCards with dimes and nickels.
With that said, I think it's $53.17.

I'm back with the receipt. The contest is now closed. I will tabulate the results shortly. You can still post but guesses will be ignored.
Looks to be about $64.50ish
Last time i took in change I really underestimated how many quarters I had. I hope you got a lot more than you thought you would!

Updated posts to include how many of each coin there were.
damn i was about to post $100 or so
edit: I think having your own change jar helps you guesstimate
Whoa mind blown. Didnt expect that much to be in there. Tons of quarters i suppose :/ 75% error, FDS
Oh wow, a lot of the guesses were way off

Excuse me but i think i deserve the title of worst guess

Nvm I'm too late. Should learn to read the thread.
Shit i have 3 or 4 of those containers lying around in my room. Maybe its time to take them to the local bank with a free coin sorter.
Damn, read contest is over but wo uld have guessed 1 cent higher than the highest reasonable guess.
That or like 100 dollars and 1 cent.
Time to ead how wrong I am.
GOD DAMNIT I WOULD HAVE WON FFFFUUUUUUUUUU
Seriously, these guessing contests for coins and stuff people ALWYAS underestimate how much money is in those thing, ugh, oh well
I probably would've guessed about $130 or so. I've got a similarly sized change cup and every time I empty it, there's just about $110 but I use a lot of my quarters regularly.
One of the COOLEST, if not the coolest contest on TL ever
EDIT: WOW. Not only was my guess late, it was WAYY off..

$32.23
Edit: Oh , you're already back. Hello Mr. Micronesia. :3
i thought it was high for sure especially because i seen those quarters on top so i assumed they were also throughout
i got me more change than that so ima have a nice surprise

oh... these types of guessing games... ALWAYS more than you guess.
I remember in middle school there was a prize to guess how many jelly beans or whatever was in a jar and I guessed a number roughly 6 times less than the actual number

I was going to guess somewhere in the 80-100 range. That cup looks about two or three times bigger than what I carry my change in and although it doesn't look like it my cup usually holds about $40-50 in it.
edit: people don't understand how much the quarters really make up the total sum of chunk of change like that.
Gah I knew it was more than a hundred with a guestimate of the quarters in there :X Shoulda gone with 120 afterall, but congrats Tschis! Nice going

$24.19 gah its over already? Micronesia I expected so much more from you, no spoiler in the OP? T_T edit2: FAILFAILFAILFAIL

$42.
42 is the answer to everything.
$67.36
Just wanted to get my guess in before I clicked the results, btw. :D
+ Show Spoiler +Damn, was way off. I was basing it on a money machine thing that I have; looks to be about as tall as your thing and a good bit slimmer. Last time I filled it up to the top with quarters only, and it was about $100. I figured that with a mix of pennies/nickels/dimes, it would be a good bit less.
$50.00, wait, $120? Are you sure you weren't carrying around bunches of dollar coins...
Wow there's no way that looks like $120.
I would have guessed like $50 as an absolute upper bound.
78.82$
edit: oh lol 120 is a lot but honestly I have like 15# in change that i actually counted up and it really doesn't look like much so i'm not suprised you have over 100$ in change

Think of it this way guys. Get 40 quarters and stack them up, that is only 10 dollars, and its what, 4 inches high?
Now imagine that bigass box. Thats why I would have guessed well over 100.
$65.73 edit: oh damnit nvm it's over lol

Derp it's already over... Wow. Theres no way I would have thought that it would be over $100.

Well I just opened this thread like 5 minutes ago. Here was my experience about this blog post.
1. I noticed [results] but didn't see any on OP (why dont just edit to OP?). 2. I saw picture and scrolled it and text to look picture and read text below it. Mainly I didn't even bother text up of it (as it was covered because of the pictures). 3. Then I read all text and check all rest of pictures and started looking results at bottom of OP but didn't find any. Logically any updates should be last, not first. 4. Then checked last page and noticed your post about red color etc
I guess thats what normal Forum users sees it.

I guess after 15 years of Internet experience its hard to change it. Oh and I will add one more thing. I was looking $xx.xx on the post but couldn't find. Now this would have been good solution
