However, I be a positive thinker - I've been making new-and-improved chargelots since the patch and they're awesome, so. Focus on the good'uns.
Plus, because I'm ranked 4 in my Bronze League on SEA, I got the sweet star/little silver thingies on my thingy, so, that appeals to the Barbie-lovin' high-heel-wearin' accessories-are-awesome girl in me.
I have't been able to check my Silver League icon on NA because it's been fkn' down every time I've tried to play on it post-patch. But I'm sure it is also glittery and would match my designer dresses and all that good shit.
MATCHMAKER, MATCHMAKER, MAKE ME A MATCH?!:
A few people on Reddit and the like have been questioning the matchmaking system since the patch. I hadn't really experienced anything of the sort until just now.
I was matched with a dude by the name of Phontaine, a Terran.
He was just clearly better than me and early on he rocked up with more MMs than I could handle and crippled me. I just kept keeping on, managed to expand, but focussed too heavily on my chargelots when I should really go air against stupid marauders, and I also left my colossus too late.
So he beat me.
Checked his profile - FKN TOP 10 PLAT WTF?!
I messaged him re: the crazy match-up and we did a bit of a forehead-smack together.
He then said "gg wp. you won't be bronze for long."
AND I WAS ALL, "AWWWWWWWWWWW!"

Some sort of misplaced loyalty to my people.
Aside from today, I've actually been winning the majority of my games.
Day9's daily about "how to get into Starcraft" really helped, actually.
I'm not not into Starcraft. My problem is I love it as a sport but I get shaky and scared when I ladder and always feel I won't be good enough and I'll lose terribly. It's never the case, mostly, but the anxiety is there. The way he laid out how to train was super effective.
Anyway, after the games I play, I always try to guess my opponent's league/rank before checking, and they're always higher than I predict they are. So that's a good sign. I've been beating top-10s in Silver leagues, so. Hopefully once the new season starts I can pop on up there on SEA.
I'm going to focus more on my NA account also - I have fucking phenomenal bonus pools on both servers and I'm just trying to plough my way through them before they're wiped. It won't happen, but I can try.
I have two assignments due for uni in the next week, also, which is sucky timing.
