ROOT Gaming Is an amazing clan, and most people would do anything to get on it! I am one of those people. I will train 24 hours a day and not sleep at all if that is what it takes, to get into ROOT gaming would be so amazing! I started out my SC2 career as a protoss player in bronze league with 1 win and 4 losses, I stayed around a 33% win ratio and was very proud of that! I cracked the 50% win rate at around 200 games, and was promoted to the amazing silver league soon after! I was improving at an amazing rate, and in only 1 week I got to gold. Gold wasn't much harder than silver for me, so I quickly reached platinum, I was almost pro! I was the in the amazing platinum league! I was so excited! But the jump from plat to diamond was the hardest I got very frustrated as I lost games, but I managed to reach a 53% ratio with a lot of points, becasue of this and my high mmr I got promoted to the one the only diamond league! I yelled out, and probably awakened everyone in the city! BUt this was my turning point, I started to lose games and ot gain any points. I wanted a change from protoss to change my game, I tried zerg! On my ladder experience as zerg I found that I was best at ZvZ with about a 80% win ratio in ZvZ, but in the other 2 matchups I had about a 30% win ratio. I was falling from the top of the diamond league to the very bottom. I could not handle the competition and got demoted back to the lowly platinum league. I was so upset that I took a month break to try my luck with some other games, but I still had a love for Starcraft 2! At this point I wanted to switch back to the protoss race! The race I had so much succes with! In only 3 days I got back up to diamond league, and was rated way higher than before! This made my day! Finally, playing SC2 was paying off, I was going to reach the very top! Win the GSL, become the world #1!! But this obviously didn't happen and I had to keep playing before I could compete such tasks, so at this point I wanted to join a clan to take me to the next level, I was searching around on the Starcraft Central forums, and found a clan that had a lot of top diamond players that could help me improve! I joined this clan known as "Test Of Fate (ToF)"! But as I was surfing the TL.net forums I found out about a clan called ROOT Gaming. I read all about it, and was going to push myself to get in! ROOTMacroKing just sounded so good! To improve my practice, and compete in more tournaments, I made an account on the EU server. I quickly laddered up to diamond on the EU server, but at this time, diamond was nothing! It was all about master's league! But the competition of facing 3400 diamond players is to hard for me, I could only get a 50% win ratio vs them, at this point in time, the EU server was where I preferred to play! I got fairly high in diamond, but still to this day can not make the final stretch to masters. But when patch 1.3 comes out I will push I self super hard to get to masters, grandmasters, and then finally, ROOT Gaming! I hope my dreaming will stop ending and soon become a reality!!!

Thank you for reading this,

So might I ask, why ROOT of all clans? What made them stand out above everyone else?

ROOT Gaming has always stood out to me because they don't have any sponsors and the players on the team play to play, not for money, and they just have such a friendly people on the clan, and are so good!

I have to point out that even on sponsered teams most players arent really making much if any money directly from the sponsership.

Man, I've got to tell you, ROOT is AMAZING.

I've had the honor of being able to play Team Micro Arena with CatZ and observe him playing one of my friends for a tourney, and seriously, he's SO GOOD.

When you watch him play someone you know or play with him, you can really tell that that's the difference between a professional and an amateur.
You can type "StarCraft" with just your left hand.

Hard work is all that matters!

Well, other things matter, but it's a nice statement and true to a certain extent at least

There's also a severe lack of Nelly in this thread I was hoping for some hip hopping SC beats or something, but I'll satiate my lust for recycled hiphop music and bad beats somewhere else

Also, for extra info, my first game of SC2 in ladder, I did a 4 gate (no cyber) zealot rush at 12 minutes. I was able to win this game vs an opponent who did the same build as me except attacked 1st so I had the defenders advantage. After I won this I was super convinced I would win all 5 and get into platinum, but everything didn't turn out as planned.

I think you might need to seriously consider what you're doing.

Gaming is incredibly challenging and even half the master players won't be progamers. You might want to consider whether or not this is something you will do and commit without question. Any hesitation or regret means instant GG (for lack of a better term.)

Read the title, "Just A Dream." It will be very hard, but instead of you just trying to get to stop me from doing it, I would like some support.
