settings to fix my framerate issue

leadphyc United States99 Posts March 11 2011 08:06 GMT #1 so i have been messing around with a bunch of settings in SC2 and on my computer to increase the performance and ive been able to get my frame rate up to 28-31 FPS at the beginning haven't really seen how far it will drop once i max out armies anyway for me to test this quickly? I'm having to play with very poor resolution and settings all on low and i have to stop all of the nonessential processes but i think this can work. man do i hate integrated graphics on this damn laptop. :/ or well at least i can play without hitting 1 frame rate....maybe. and another question of topic. i need something to act as a good mouse pad until my paycheck comes in next week. any ideas?

Bambipwnsu Canada698 Posts March 11 2011 09:07 GMT #2 take off shadows completely. you will have to go into variables.txt in your documents > Sc2 folder. shadows=0 and GraphicsOptionShadowQuality=1

leadphyc United States99 Posts March 12 2011 09:04 GMT #3 Ive done that already :/. maxing at 40 frame rate but still dropping to around 6-10 in big battles. but i can at least call down storms and force fields when i need them unlike at 1 frame rate, and everyone knows without force fields protoss army is basically shot to hell.
