Just broke my razer salmosa and a usb socket on my laptop. So I went down to get a new one and found out razer stopped producing salmosa. Wtf? That's the best mouse I've ever had, actually I had a couple. Anyone that liked the salmosa got any advice, I want something really light with a similar shape. Are any of the other razer mice good for RTS? The guy at the store showed me the Spectre but my god, that is the ugliest thing I have seen in my life.
Now time to sit down and learn integrals/antiderivatives since I was too stupid and lazy to attend any of my math classes for the past month.

The Abyssus or Deathadder are pretty similar to the Salmosa - especially Abyssus. It's a compact 3 button mouse that's basically a really basic, all-around good mouse for most laptop users.

yeah the scroll wheel on my salmosa broke on my first one
seems so fragile that i'm trying to preserve my second

True I haven't tried ebay. I'm gonna order a salmosa and get an abyssus meanwhile I guess.

I liked the salmosa, currently im using the abyssus which i like even better. good thing about the abysuss is that it's in the same vein as the salmosa pure rts mouse sans scroll wheel which im ok about since its not something that gets in the way.
These types of 3 button mice are the best, none of those stupid extra 9 buttons.

I've had my razer krait for almost 2 year. Awesome mouse imo.

You could always check out Amazon, or Ebay. They usually have that stuff new even if a company stops making said product. Id at least try.

I just got a little crazy and ordered a LMO + a salmosa from amazon, then asked my friend to pick up an abyssus on his way over here. ^^

Doing it wrong.
Got a salmosa myself, my logitech G1 is very similar to it, very comparable. Other than that the abyssus is your best bet.

i bought a razer this week, i wanted a Deathadder, but every store was selling it brutally overprice, so i just went with the Abyssus, i know it's not that "trendy" anymore, as there are many new models, but it's simple, beautiful and quite cheap

Extra buttons and various special features aren't that big of a deal in RTS anyway.
lol I just want to find a good fit maybe I went a little overboard. But on the other hand I don't really mind spending money on a company that sponsors so many sc2 tournies atm. :3

Isn't the mx series really big and bulky though? I had a mx510 when I played fps some years ago I think but I really prefer the small and light ones for rts.
Even the deathadder feels way too big and heavy for me.

Such an unwarranted OP title. Do an internet search kid.

Really, I'm a big fan of razer. I think this symbiosis between niche companies like razer/steelseries and esports is amazing.
Mod can erase this blog as I've already got a new razer mouse and another one ordered, or change the topic name if you so wish.
