When do you think the starting age for dating is? A lot of popular kids at my school started dating in 6th grade. And so far, the people in the Asian group have not started dating yet. Do you have any advice/tips for me?

It's not your friends decision when you start dating, but yours. (: If you find a girl you like, and she likes you, and you feel comfortable and ready to date her, ask her. I didn't start dating till I was about 15 though, just because I was comfortable or really ready for it, haha. .__.

just want to get laid or take care of BBS (blue balls syndrome)? well, then have fun, take girls out and make sure they're having fun, and then have even more fun. don't try too hard... when the house is empty and parents are gone, do your thing. looking for a serious relationship? well, you're in 7th grade, don't look for a serious relationship. lol

If you see a girl you like, talk to her. In 7th grade everything will be very light and you will be "playing" dating more than actually doing so. When you get a bit older, stop with the dating stuff and try to score chicks at parties etc. A relationship isn't bad per see but make sure it's serious beforehand. Don't worry about it too much, you don't just begin dating out of nowhere. Just go with the flow, it's not like you can take out an ad in the local newspaper.

There is no stress what so ever some people don't start dating untill they are well into their 20's and are fine with that, while some start at 13 and stick with it for the rest of their lives. Start dating when you find someone you actually want to date, and actually wants to date you, regardless of age.

Also, even if you do get a little fucked up, it's all part of the learning experience so it's a good thing to do it when you are young. I just repeat, don't get neurotic

There's no point doing it before, as you won't be emotionally prepared and it will probably just end up weird and uncomfortable, ruining your perspective on dating (not that drastic). However, don't wait "until you are ready," because that day may never come, and you don't want to realize that until it's too late.

that's just me though, and I am considered by no one to be an authority on dating.

I'm one of the nerdiest dudes you'll ever meet and I have a hot girlfriend whom I love very much. How? Patience and being a generally nice guy.

For example, girls really don't find Asians that attractive. Just to give some info, I am in 7th grade and I a semi-nerd. I like math , chess, and gaming. And while some of my friends, aren't into girls, I totally am. (but with homework, math and games, I don't have too much time) When do you think the starting age for dating is? All of your concerns about being Asian or semi-nerdy will go away once you get older. In middle-school, girls all have this pre-conceived idea of what the "ideal" man is. The handsome/popular/tall/athletic/rich whatever guy that you always see on TV and in disney movies. It's still pretty bad in high-school, but there will be a lot more girls who understand what they actually want in a guy. You'd be surprised at how many dorky girls there actually are ^^ Basically, just wait it out. If you start dating in middle-school just because you think you should be dating, you're going to be unhappy a lot because you (most likely) won't be bonding well with girls who don't understand how relationships actually work.

Don't let fear of some imagined discrimination get you down! I think I was in.... 7th grade when I went on my first date. Obviously it's all really silly/goofy at your age, as neither of you can drive, and getting dropped off by mom or dad at the movie theater is kinda funny in retrospect at my age now, lolol.
