This is probably the last I'll be able to play for a while, because I've been procrastinating on my Thesis for way too long, and if I don't finish that, my life will basically come to a halt and I'll be a failure.
Also my computer is having troubles AGAIN . I think it may be overheating. Ever since I've gotten that thing I've had problems with it.
OH, lol, also my fantasy proleague team that I threw together is doing crazy good, which is surprising because I haven't been paying attention to who the hot players are in BW lately.
Onto the analysis:
1v1 analysis:
Zerg(42 games) (17)ZvZ: 4-13 23.5% (15)ZvP:14- 1 93.3% (10)ZvT: 6- 4 60.0%
24-18 57.1%
This Season: Zerg(242 games) (91)ZvZ: 40-51 43.9% (74)ZvP: 50-24 67.5% (77)ZvT: 43-34 55.8%
133-109 54.9%
This set of games has some very interesting stats. ZvZ is keeping me down by far, I'm okay against Terran, and ZvP is definitely my most comfortable matchup.
ZvZ: I'm still horrible at ZvZ, though a large portion of those losses came from a horrible build, and basically losing as soon as my opponent's ling speed finished. I've learned that ling speed is huge, and I'm now going a 14gas-13pool build and getting quick ling speed, pulling down to 2 drones on gas after, and going from there. I usually send in my first 2 lings into their base to scout. That said, the trend is that I get absolutely rolled when it goes into a roach vs roach game, while I do okay to good in the ling portion of the game. The problem I've been having is, macroing roaches off 2 base, I would always have way too much gas and not enough minerals. So I tried only taking 3 gas, but I still had the same problem.
ZvP: I'm 14-1 against Protoss in this set, and many of those games were some form of 1base aggression, either a 4gate attack or some sort of voidray + gate units attack on one base. The one game I lost was against a reasonably good Protoss, where I made 2 big mistakes: First, I didn't scout well enough early, and made too many lings and sunks while he just expanded. Second, I didn't scout well enough his army composition or production buildings later in the game, and when he rolled out with 6 or 7 colossus off 2robo, I wasn't ready for it. But the moral of the story is, I'm having no trouble holding off 1base aggression from Protoss.
ZvT: I'm not sure what to say about ZvT. It's very frustrating sometimes. Sometimes it's my fault for being too greedy or not scouting well enough. Other times it's like wtf? The explanation I'm going with is that the "wtf" games the Terran just outmacro'ed me.
Questions: ZvZ: 1. How many geysers should I take to macro roaches off 2 base? 2. Should I just be massing roaches, or should I be steadily teching toward some goal? In the games I lose, it seems like the opponent just made nothing but roaches and moved in for the win. 3. Is it worth it to have 2 evo and get carapace as well as range attack upgrades?
ZvP: I'm fine here until I fix my ZvZ so I can play better players.
ZvT: 1. What should I do against a Thor/marine army? I tried ling/bling/roach, but I got rolled. I had thought that roaches were a good answer to thors, but they haven't really worked. Should I just go ling/bling? 2. I lost one game to a quick hellion/marauder attack into banshee rush. I held the hellion/marauder attack, though I took some damage, but then was completely unprepared for the banshee. It seems the Terran's idea is to open hellion to prompt roaches from me, which get owned by marauder, AND delay my tech, making it unlikely I'll be able to deal with banshee. The Terran's goal is to do as much damage as possible with the hellion/marauder, but there's a bit more emphasis on taking out the queens so that the banshee is instant gg. Really scary build for me, and honestly if I played Terran, I'd be doing this all the time. So, any suggestions? My best guess is to respond to the hellions with speedlings and good micro, and to take out the first hellion/marauder attack with only mass speedling while teching to muta with 3 queens, but I'm really not sure how well speedling will do against hellion/marauder that is micro'd even remotely well. So, yeah, any advice on this?
Reps: No reps this time because my computer is a piece of shit (I'm writing this from my laptop). I may upload some later.
GO MVP!
As always, comments and constructive criticism welcome.

Are you master league?
I think ZvZ is my best matchup and I fail so bad at ZvP. We should help each other methinks.
As far as ZvZ, I usually skip zerglings and speed upgrade. (maybe just a pair or two to scout around and such). For 1 base roaches to expand I generally have 5 drones on gas. So when you're at 2 base it all depends on if your preparing a timing attack or whatever to decide how many geyser and drones to put at expo gases. Generally I get the 3rd gas right away and put 6th worker on gas at main. and when my 2nd base has about 6-8 on minerals I think I get the next gas and just apply workers as needed to it.
For upgrades I usually get +1 range attack before roach speed/burrow/tunnel/overseer. Then I generally get those other 4 in that order, but depends what they have. If they went burrow i'd get seer first obv etc.
As far as 2 evo, most zergs i encounter do it to success sometimes. but most of the time the armor upgrades don't matter as much as that attack so I stick with 1 evo until hive is making or something. It's more important to get infesors and pathogen upgrade after +2 attack Imo, I could be wrong or it could just be situational.
Then late game it's just countering units and expanding. I've played some really cool long zvz games on like SP. Genereally I like broodlords over ultras though. Ultras do better vs mass fungal or if they have too much Anti broodlord stuff. If you can land a good fungal on a pile of roaches, ultras will tear that shit to pieces too

I'm still in diamond, something like 1950 with 900 bonus ?? or something, I don't really pay attention. I pay more attention to the rank/rating of the players I get matched against. I've been matched up against some masters players, but mostly diamond around 2800 or so.
But yeah we could probably help each other out. You can add me. PM your name/code?

k reread my edit and lets play some games right now

You should really consider experimenting with some infestor play in ZvT.
I was a muta whore for eeevvveeerrr, and then one day LZGamer said he finds it much harder to play against infestors than against mutas, so I was like "gee, if LZ thinks infestors are tough, surely your typical ladder scrub will too".
One week later and I've gone from losing 70% of my ZvTs to winning (almost) 70% of my ZvTs.

Well, that's an interesting idea. I've always thought infesters were too costly in gas, where I'd rather have the mutas or banelings. Actually, in all my games I've only ever made infestor in ZvZ. But maybe now that I'm playing against Terrans that can stim-run their marines from banelings... I guess I'll have to rethink that.
Actually, that's a real eye-opener, because in ZvZ I've been complaining about somehow having too much gas, maybe I should refine my infestor play there as well.
Thanks for the advice.

I stopped using mutas in like july. My ZvT is pretty solid. Basically just FE, speedling, speedbane, carapace, extra queen, pathogen-infestors, expand, hive, carapace 2 , evo melee, crackling, ultras (and carapace ofc)
obviously this is my generic build order that works best against bio based builds. if they go hellion or banshee you gotta switch it up a little.
Infestors still work fantastically vs banshees and hellions though. Then queens and banes can clean them up
I've got tons of reps of this working. Even a recent tough game on close positions metalopolis where the guy went heavy 1 base play. Bunker rush, hellions, banshee, expand, bio mech
I think this is the rep http://starcraft2reps.com/replaylink.php?id=2568
