Am I dooming myself?

So I'm currently doing the good ol' 1/1/1 into 2 cloaked banshees and then a wonky silver league transition into MMM with an expo. At the moment my opponents either quit as soon as the banshees get there or just go all in into my bunker and and the start of a MMM army.

Is this build/transition (cheese? as I've been told from raging opponents) going to wreck me for later stages of play? Or is it good to know a build inside out and build on my understanding of the game from there? I don't think you guys need a replay but if you think it's necessary I'll get one up.

Are you at risk of your plan being discovered and you almost auto-losing the game? If yes it's cheese; if no it's not.

im sure there are people who consider simply building cloaked banshees a cheese. i think if u can transition into an expo u will be fine, but if u dont do enough damage with banshees and have gone mmm before expoing, ur economy will be far behind

from what i read, your not dooming yourself, you just don't have the best transition you could. Before transitioning in your build, you have (minimum)
- 1 Rax
- 1 Fact
- 1 Port
- 1 Tech Lab (on port)

So, you need to get a reactor, or just remove the tech lab, on the starport and start making medivacs, and either use the tech lab on the fact and add tanks, or on the rax to make rauders, either way, you will need extra raxs to pump the MMM army whether you get tanks or not.

1/1/1 with cloak is not a cheese

you could be making it into a cheese if you are doing it without any defense or plan for a followup though....just work out/learn a stabler version and you're good to go (if thats your problem).

it's annoying, but definitely not cheese.

it may be all-in, and then it's your problem, but if it's not, they need to l2p aka scout and defend it like with 4gate or 1base roach and other such shit
