Yeah, considering that his defense was that he didn't actually participate in match fixing himself (and only introduced other players to the concept) it makes it look as if he knew it was wrong but got his fellow players involved anyways. No sympathy at all, especially when he was already a star and making good money. @Chef, when his claim that others asked him to do it is taken in isolation, perhaps one might believe it, but when combined with how he approached and reacted to the situation, I'm far more inclined to believe others' claims that he was the one who introduced the idea to players, rather than the other way around.

etheovermind United States. January 09 2011 05:38 do you really hate him that much for what he has done? actually, this might surprise some, but not everyone in korea knows saviour. starcraft is big but among a certain age group. still, being shamed in korea is a huge matter. im not sure if hes started community time, but if he does, im sure he'll be in some disguise, perhaps a beard and orange hair! LOL. im sure we wont hear from him for a long time

Yeah, that's definitely very sad and painful to read. I think everyone has low points in their life where they do completely shameful things... the difference is Ma Jae-yoons was publicized. It's the type of thing that would make a story interesting, but in reality is so hurtful. Savior is definitely a complicated person. You can't get that good at a game without real dedication, so it's not like he didn't know the meaning of work ethic... It's just that he wasn't the god capable of resisting all sin. Like I said, it's a story I'm interested in and wish there was more information on.

it's too bad savior couldn't try sc2, I'd liked to have seen him play it. Always had pretty godly game sense, just let his mechanics slip in later years.

There's actually not enough evidence that he threw games. He organized it so that other players threw their games, but there's little, if any, evidence he threw his own games. Also with respect to what Savior is up to -- from what I've heard around on the internet he's studying english to study abroad or something

Cuz if he did actually purposely go 0-3 that means he would've had a chance at winning if he had tried. Rereading this thread and feeling really depressed, I come across someone who clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Just made me feel even more depressed x_x
