I obviously didn't have much time to prepare for this post...I'll save an epic post for the 10k. So instead, I'm going to do one of those lame (sorry inc!) "Ask me anything" threads. Granted, it's not that enticing of an offer, but I promise to answer all questions truthfully, honestly, and thoroughly, and I'll copy/paste all questions/answers into the OP.
So without any further ado,

My actual highest ICCup rank is D+. I think I could have achieved C+ fairly consistently at my peak, but without some bizarre stroke of luck, I don't think I would've made B-. I had I think an 8-1 record against Pokebunny at some point, including an absolutely embarrassing comeback win on Python. He's since improved, though, and does much better on any map with an easily securable third.
My style was suited fairly well for laddering, mainly because I never had the speed to play conventional styles (max average APM around 110), so I had to rely on unit composition, strategy, and timing to win. I'm especially proud of my PvZ style, because it was so suboptimal that I won nearly all of my first games (against people) with it. This includes decent players like Saracen, sixghost, etc., who by any other standards are considerably more solid players than I am.
My strategy basically revolved around the fact that I wouldn't attempt to secure a third base, and instead would just mass Gateway units off of two bases. I was pretty awful at controlling Templar, so instead of Archives I would double forge after my Corsair, hit +2/+2, and attack with mass Zeal/Goon at whatever timing that came out at. It was hilariously successful.
Later on I did more conventional styles like Goon/Ob/Temp or DT/Sair style openings that would give me either around or above a 50% win ratio against C+ Zergs like ShinyGerbil.
My PvT opened with a forward 10/15 into proxy Reaver on pretty much any map that allowed it (pretty much any map without a ramp). I did this pretty much every game.
My PvP was pretty much standard, except I've always preferred Reavers because I have decent Reaver control. I've always been pretty successful at PvP also, and have considerable positive records against some decent (think C range) TL'ers like Z3kk (I think 3-0) and StarN (something like 15-2 rofl). I think I'm also 4-0 or 3-0 against Grobyc, spanning multiple matchups. I think I'm negative or even against arb, and I'm definitely negative against infinity21 because he has an aggravating style that I despise.
But it was much more fun being able to legitimately say I was D+ max on ICCup so I could stomp on kids with fun strategies

I'm actually quite slim in real life haha. I came to TeamLiquid because back in 2003 or so, I was a part of the GameFAQs BW community, and sometimes I'd see TL threads linked. I had actually lurked TL for some time, but didn't actually register an account until late 2004. Eventually the GameFAQs community simmered down (the board format didn't help, either), and I found myself visiting TL exclusively.

I much prefer potato, because I simply find it to be the more versatile vegetable when cooking. Of course, if you're including food items such as HFCS, I suppose I can't ignore the ubiquity of corn. But if we're talking dishes in which the main feature is either corn or potato, I would definitely say potato.
As for playing, it's BW by far. I find SC2 to be a one-dimensional game with little opportunity for innovation. BW was unique in that each game offered a dynamic range of possibilities; pretty much anything could happen, and part of its appeal was in the suspense. I simply find SC2 to be dull and insipid in gameplay. I suppose I never had that "wow, I'm so engrossed in this game I lost track of time" feeling while playing SC2, and I couldn't ever play it for more than an hour straight. It simply got to be a tedious endeavor after a while, and I simply grew tired of it.
SC2 simply lacked that indescribable magic that made BW such a beautiful game.

I'm going to repeat a lot of what I wrote before for this one. I simply find SC2 lacking in terms of appeal. I cannot get excited to play the game, and in the rare cases I do play, I actually tire of the game after one or two games, lose interest, and start browsing TL, reddit, or facebook (because I'm a massive creep).
I also play Terran.

You're going to have to be more specific than that, haha. I was born in China, and have lived in Xi'an, Pittsburgh, Chapel Hill, and Carmel (Indiana). I currently attend Duke University, which is in Durham, NC. It's always been my absolute favorite school, so I ended up applying to two Indiana schools and Duke. Kind of a stupid move in retrospect, but I'm glad it ended up well.

I got involved in the behind-the-scenes TL community simply by being a decent poster and not wanting anything more than to be part of the community at large. To help out the site and to get more involved, simply contribute via meaningful posts.

Hahaha I'm surprised you still remember that. Unfortunately, I haven't been playing much piano. I quit the summer before college (three years ago) and haven't done much since then. I might try out to play with the college orchestra in its concerto competition, but right now I simply don't have the motivation.

So many threads I can't even count. One of my guilty pleasures is online drama. I absolutely love any sort of online drama, and I have no idea why. Some of the ones I remember off the top of my head are the threads exposing Zia as a guy and Lastshadow as a pathetic loser. I also absolutely love combat-ex supporters because I think they're hilarious (he's actually not a bad player. C+ish?).
My favorite thing about BW is simply the fact that it's such a well-designed game that you can simply have fun if you have some time to kill. Not only the gameplay, but the community aspect as well; virtually all of my online friends have come from BW, just wasting time in chat channels and UMS. I think part of it, too, was the fact that BW pretty much defined my adolescent gaming experience. It's tough not to love something you grew up with.
I honestly believe (and many would disagree with me) that SC2 is unsalvageable. At the very least, I don't think it'll ever capture that magical essence that BW had. As for favorite BW matches, I think my favorite is Boxer vs. Joyo on Paradoxxx, because the magic of BW is perfectly exemplified in just that one game.

Who knows? Over fifty times a day? I'm on my computer a lot because of school, and TL is one of my background tabs (along with GMail, facebook, and reddit). It's constantly open, although curiously, I hardly ever visit the IRC. I don't spend much time during my visits, since most of them are simply to check if there's anything I need to do as a banling. I'll read probably...10-20 threads per day, and respond to maybe two or three.

Unfortunately, no. Trust me, I'd absolutely love to, but I need to wake up tomorrow morning to go get some pants altered, and then I have to clean up and pack for my flight Saturday morning. The OSL matches are at 5:30AM for me (although I've stayed up for those matches before, haha). Luckily, moktira is an absolute beast, and uploads BW VODs insanely fast. I'll probably catch the series tomorrow night.
I'd agree with you on my handwriting. I don't know why people like it (but it's usually neater).
And of course, I absolutely love NC.

It really depends on how stupid people are being. I average fewer than one ban per day, though. Probably around one per week? I dunno, feel free to comb through the automated ban list. It's just something I do, although it's sometimes fun coming up with snarky ban reasons for the truly bad ones. I haven't really had to struggle with any bans, since all of them were completely deserving of it. I keep a shortlist of people to watch based on previous warnings/bans, but I haven't had to ban anyone from it (yet). As for clueless/stupid people I've banned, I don't remember any off of the top of my head. To be honest, I really don't care enough about the people I ban to remember them.
Outside of BW, I absolutely love Halo: Reach and Pokemon battle simulators. I'm also extremely excited for Diablo 3, but who the hell knows when that's actually going to come out. I enjoy all types of music except for certain types of metal, country, and rap. I also enjoy most movies, with Hancock being a notable exception (fucking terrible). Some favorites include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and WALL-E. To be honest, I only read non-fiction books. I don't actually read literature, but I do wikipedia the classics and trawl their wikiquote pages so I'm familiar with them. I don't think I've read a novel written in the past twenty years except for Harry Potter.
