just wondering what you guys think.
i've had this on my mind for a long time.
NOT BALANCE ISSUES. 1)Replay saving issue. 2)Perfect addition to the Production Tab.
Heres two of my ideas. They are not Balance issues, just UI features.
One is a solution to the SAVE REPLAY bug.
The other is a solution to the inability to click PRODUCTION TAB icons.
1)
This is an issue for all of battle.net, because of this issue, if one chooses to save a replay from the RECENT folder, if they want to rename it, it is impossible without going to the folder through documents manually.
The replays are set up so that when I click save replay, it does not erase the replay file from the RECENT tab and send it to the Multiplayer tab. The file is actually displayed in both tabs with the new name I have created, and if I erase one, then the other is also erased. This leaves anyone unable to just simply delete the new copy from the Multiplayer tab, and click save on the same replay in the RECENT tab to save it again under a new name this time.
I noticed that if I do save a replay from the RECENT tab, that replay will be renamed and shared by both folders (RECENT/Multiplayer), so if I erase one of the replay files from one tab, it erases the replay file from the other tab as well.
IMPORTANT: If this change is implemented, please keep it so that when we do click save, the original file is left untouched in the RECENT tab, and the new replay is saved with its new name in the Multiplayer tab. If we save, the old file stays in the RECENT tab, with all of its properties intact and unedited. Meanwhile the new replay file is on its own in the Multiplayer tab.
2)
Also there is another idea I have that will come in handy.
People/Professional Casters do use the PRODUCTION tab, and it would be far more effective if that tab's icons were able to be clicked to center cameras onto those icons actual game locations. These portraits if clicked would center the camera on the corresponding structure. If it were units in the production tab, again the camera would just center on the strucutre, and if clicked multiple times on any icon that multiple instances of itself, then the camera would simply cycle through each of these products.
example: Exactly the same way pattern the camera would use if you hit BACKSPACE to cycle through Command Centers/ Hatcheries/ and Nexus.
Thanks for listening. Take care.
