Ok. so today my third period teacher was getting rid of all his computer sciences/engineering books for more space. He said anyone could take as many as they want.
So, i went over there and check out what he had. There were plenty of books on programming in Turing, Java, C, etc.
I grabbed 5 books.

"The Don't Panic Guide to Programming in Java"
"Introduction fo Programming in Java"
"Turing tutorial guide"
"Programming concepts in Java"
"Alarms: 55 Electronic Projectsand Circuits"

As you can tell, i am hopfully going to start programming in Java sometime soon. I didn't really need the Turing book, but there are still a few concepts in it I have trouble with. Finally, the Alarms book is so i can wire up a door alarm for my room. Tired of my brother bustin in without warning.

I don't really know how to end this so i guess i will just cut off in mid sente-

Were they his personal books or the school's? Technically he needs permission to get rid of them lol

No, they were his books. If they werent he wouldn't be giving them away.
He doesn't really need them, he just used them for teaching.

and @Rinrun No, just in the middle of casting. He comes in screams out a random racial slur and exits.

Well if it was the school's books he still could possibly give them away. Schools get to decide whether to try to excess books or to just throw them out. Once they've decided to throw them out it's fair game to take/give them. I received a lot of textbooks etc from one school going through a storeroom of books they were planning to throw out.

Not sure what the exact educational law is on this (and it would vary by region) but this is basically how I've seen it to work in 2 separate states in the USA.
