Hello!
I'm in need of some serious help!.
My computer is a XPS M1730, and until now it has had CompleteCare and NExt Business Day warranty contract. Both end in december and well, it's at stake the purchase of my PS3 or the renewal of the warranty of the computer.
Since CompleteCare can't be renewed (I asked their Warranty Support Chat Representative), is Next Business Day worth it? anybody knows what does it cover? I tried the Dell Website, but the information they give is very very vague and well, I need some first hand experience until I make this choice.
Thx to anybody who can give me smoe help!

be sure to make ur warranty last longer. what dell does is that they make sure the hard drive lasts JUST long enough that the warranty ends. so i wouldn't be surprised if ur hard drive fails in the next few months. it's something dell does to make even more money off of people. So extend ur warranty and save $ on a new hard drive.
as for the other thing, next business day sounds like shipping on repairs is next day shipping as opposed to the normal 'take forever' shipping, but don't count me on it.

I am pretty sure CompleteCare can be renewed, but only if you renew the standard warranty beforehand. It might be different for outside of the US, I suppose.
The warranty you have, "Next Business Day," usually means that after you report any problems with your laptop, they will send out a tech the next business day to look at it, provided he has the parts already. Dell may overnight him parts if necessary.

if you bought it on a credit card and still have it then typically your credit card company puts on an extra year of warranty.
ps3^^

I agree that Dell does something to make their products somehow fail just after the warranty expire date...

Um I have a dell laptop that's about 1 year past warranty expiry date by now, it's still running fine and I'm statisfied. It did have a problem a few weeks after I initially bought it, the WLAN card failed which led to the computer being unable to start (lol?) but as soon as the tech support guy got me to confirm the problem a guy arrived at my house the next day and replaced the card so whatever.

Not just Dell, other manufacturers like HP too.
