I don't own Starcraft 2. I can't run it on my laptop. For that matter, I can't run much on my 7 year old laptop.
It's 192 mb of ram and it's ATI Radeon 7000 IGP can barely handle youtube videos.
But my laptop runs BW smoothly and for that I love it.
Tonight, a terrible thing happened. I noticed that my laptop wasn't charging, despite the fact that the charger was plugged in. Well shit, my laptop only runs for 15 minutes without a charger before dying on me.
I look around for what could be causing the problem. And then I see it. There is a hole in the rubber tubing and i see a gap in the copper wiring.
I known next to nothing about wiring, but i knew that if i did nothing i'd have to find a charger for my archaic laptop or find some way to afford a new computer. And after a good 90 minutes of wrapping together wires and cutting rubber tubing, i've managed to get my charger working again.
There is something so gratifying, about pursuing a task you have little or no ability in and still accomplishing it. Even if the task is easy, it still feels like a huge accomplishment. It's like picking up BW for the first time and beating some D+ guy on iccup.
I think i'll reward myself with a 4:17 am game on US west.
Well done =) Last year my laptop charger was broken and I had to hold it in a certain angle to charge. Eventually bought another charger but those times really let me feel stuff you take for granted =P

I did this with my phone line that was outside (my grandma cut it because I was on the internet too much so I put the wires back together so I could get back on ^_^.. YEAH I USED DIAL-UP AT THE TIME OK?) and I felt like a fucking champ when I was successful.

My cat ate my adapter wire during the night but I didn't realize it. I arrive at office, my charger doesn't work. I go to see the IT guy asking for another one but he says he doesn't have any for my laptop's model. 5 mins later he comes to me as I'm still waiting at my desk, and shows me a big cut on the wire. But a well trained eye could definitely tell it was cat teeth. And he gives me an old shitty laptop. After spending 15 minutes on the shitty laptop, I thought "fuck that !", got a Stanley knife, some duct tape and fixed it. All my colleagues were in awe !

Two weeks later my cat did it again but with my Razer mouse. I can tell you it's a lot harder to fix ! In the Razer Krait wire (dunno about other models), there are 5 ultra thin wires, less than 1mm including the plastic sheathing around 4 of them. Had to buy a soldering iron to fix it. But I guess if you have enough dexterity to carve hydralisks on pumpkin it should be okay for you !
