Allow me to preface this entry by saying I realize that I'm being a dick to a real person by doing this, but I believe it's for a greater purpose and almost entirely harmless. I also believe that "the squeaky wheel gets the grease," and that most of the time it just requires more squeakiness than most people realize or are willing to make.

In that vein, I've taken to making sure Blizzard is aware of my desire for LAN by interacting with them as much as possible and expressing that desire in every interaction. I believe if others did the same, it would be to great effect.

Mind you I'm not posting this because I think I'm funny (though I do) and you need to know that. It's at another's behest. Feel free to lambaste me for whatever reason.

Anyway here's an example of what I'm talking about. Much if it in Twitter.

@BlizzardCS more useless features eh? How about some LAN in starcraft 2?

Harmless enough, right? I've been doing some variation of that which pretty much all their twitter posts; twisting their posts into something about lack of LAN and responding with their twitter ID in the post so maybe they'd see it. But I didn't figure anyone would or respond. Until tonight.

@BlizzardCS Agreed, after this weekend the investigation is well finished. We should be in the implementation phase by now.

Anyway, maybe some of you can pick up the fight as well.

I only opened this thread because on the sidebar it said "Exchanging wi..." and I really wanted it to be an epic story about you switching wives with someone and having horrible/awesome results.

EDIT: Seriously though, I think they realize already that people want LAN.

There are reasons for a lan and reasons for no lan. I am sure Blizzard is well aware of both and I doubt silly responses like that do anything except clutter things.

You are completely wasting your time and possibly being annoying as well. Blizzard is not going to add LAN, end of story. I suggest you stop.

That's what people (Blizzard included) said about chat channels. If you kick up enough fuss it would take a pretty braindead company to not listen to what it's customers want eventually.

I still hope LAN is coming. It honestly has to if SC2 is going to be a real ESPORT.

Id rather run full speed into a brick wall than argue with Blizzard, it is not worth the time.

Blizz won't give lan to sc2. They remove it so they can have full control over sc2 because of complete dependency of bnet.

I know they know that we want LAN, and one guy reminding them of that isn't going to accomplish it.

But imagine if everyone reminded them of it every chance they got.
