Hi, i got a great deal that i can buy any laptop available trough dealers in belgium for half the price .
I really wante to make a good decision buying this laptop.
I've already broken 1 laptop a long time ago , and really had the feeling that you'll destroy laptops by gaming on it.
But i hear times have changed .
So a lot of people recommended the Asus G73Jw .
I'd love to hear some of you guy's suggestions .
Current setup:
23¨ syncmaster led really thin & light
Steelseries 7G ( i really think i should get rid of it because its so huge to carry ).
Logitech g3 lazer What wil i do if it stops working ?T_T
Sennheiser PC 360
So i just need a firm gaming laptop, best 17 inch ?
So there's more room for parts and cooling?
It need's to b very high end and very durable .
Plz help me out if you got any idea's !

Funny enough I just bought a G73JH and it is sitting in my car. Gonna fire it up tonight after work. I will post tommorow with some of the things I experienced with it.
[edit] I know it is a different model but very much similar in specs and design.

I've been playing on this laptop for playing sc2 for about ... 6 months now. It's been great so far. Now, I don't use the laptop keyboard and use an external keyboard with external 23 inch monitor setup. It's great really. The only downside I've had so far is it sometimes overheats and shuts down when the room temperature is really warm. It's mostly my fault for running multiple stuff at once like streaming on one monitor and sc2 on another monitor, and other stuff too. This doesn't happen too oftne though. I would highly recommend this laptop. When you try to stream your sc2 gaming through livestream, you should put it on low quality b/c it'll lag when it comes to big battles.

Hey! You must of bought it off NCIX too!
I'm a very happy and satisfied G73JH owner as well. There were minor hiccups at the beginning, but it was quickly fixed to a BIOS upgrade. Just to serve as a reminder, don't fix what isn't broken!
This is going to be the 9th month that I have owned the G73 and so far it has been fantastic in all gaming aspects. I've played Dragon Age, TF2, AION, SC2 and they have all been able to play in really high specs.
You were asking about durability? If you keep this thing clean, you will not have to clean the keyboard at all. However there are parts that you can order online if you ever need to replace your internal keyboard. This machine is high-end, if you're paying somethign for more than $1500 you better know what you're buying because it might just be an error to invest in one.
When I say this machine is firm, it feels very solid, hinges are tighly locked, however I have one thing to note on, the opening of the laptop looks like a gaptooth, and to me, it could of been better with a fully closed option.
If you're a hardcore gamer that spends over 5+ hours gaming, there is no problem, I've done so playing AION, but just keep checks on your temp because there are times when you feel the heat through the keyboard, getting a large enough cooling pad will fix almost all the problems for any heating problems if ever it arises (hardly doubt it will, this has 2 decently quiet fans inside).
GL with your decision, this is one hell of a machine.

I bought an ASUS J73 JH so I could play Some games in my break time at College. Long story short it is far to large and heavy, I have already sold it. Do not buy it if you are looking to carry it around with you wherever you go. Buy it if you are going to be leaving it in the same place every day like a desk. But if that's the case why don't you just get a desktop? Its specs are great, its practicality as a laptop and serving the function that laptops are supposed to serve is not so great.

I bought this for my friend on the rigs and he absolutely loves it. It plays anything at high settings, multitasks well, and is very cost effective for what it's got. I'd say you'd be pretty hard up to find a better laptop.

So unless any other suggestions, i'll go for the asus !
