Sadly I am bronze league...sigh, I don't have as much time as I would like to play Sc2 (one full time job + hobby job + free lance side projects)and I therefore loose my groove and don't really get a chance to "level up". Plus my boyfriend and I share the "beefy" computer that can run Sc2 without lag. And lets just say he is on said computer more than I am. haha

haemonculous is a chick btw, she played at MLG DC (i believe it to be her), I was like holy shit is that a girl playing sc2 when I was there spectating. there are a few, girls just tend to like their DS' cooking mama/hello kitty games. (I make this joke because my wife plays those games on occasion and i rag like hell on her about it.)

Girls seem to have way more responsible brains, making them unable to waste enough time to get into diamond, instead choosing friends, family and career. Man, girls are stupid.

It is pretty cool so many female gamers are poping up. Its great for the TL community and the gaming community in general. I'm always rather puzzled by male gamers who make posts to disparage female gamers. Seeing as women and video games are high atop most mens favorite things. Hopefully we can see more female tournments in the future, and maybe get enough ladies in the community that one day it won't be such a huge shock when they make themselfs known.
On a side note if there are any female lurkers please do post. I know you may want to avoid the attention that will be showered on you, and yes there always a few bad apples that will insult you. However every women added to the community makes it easier on ladies who come after her.

Yeah I suspect there are a lot of females on TL, they just don't "out" themselves because of the reaction by the rest of the community. We're trying to make it a more accommodating environment, but it's a tough process given the internet and male gamer attitudes, but hey one step at a time.

I wanted to play some SC2 with other girls. It was either post,

I didn't want to sound like a creepoid, and probably wouldn't have gotten any actual girl responses.
OH and i do want to post some of my (poorly played) replays, i may start playing everyday at night as a reward for a hard days work, and get back up to silver/gold (I was silver/gold during beta)

Boro, seriously look at all the untapped demand for those banglings. All you have to do is create a way to book orders -- then, once you have a healthy backlog of about 2-4wks of orders, outsource your production while making sure you have the capacity to fill your orders within 2-4wks. Then, use the proceeds to fund your next design cycle. And expand your distribution channel to the TL store, SC events, etc.
Eventually, after you have multiple designs per unit/building, you IPO to cashout and retire rich on SC.

Yep, theres a friend of mine that I play SC2 with, she's a girl, goes on TL but has yet to say it because she just doesn't want people messaging her just because she's a girl. I can't say I would ever disagree with someone for doing that.
I remember there was a suggestion thread about how there should be female only divisions, I was very adamantly against that idea, since I think there is no reason to unnecessarily discriminate divisions when divisions are utterly useless (not to mention that would just get them to be pm'd more not less). But what drives me nuts is all these people saying "WHY CAN'T I JUST MAKE A BLOG ASKING WHAT GUYS ARE ON TL" or "CAN I MAKE A GUYS ONLY TOURNAMENT? HURRRR"
I'm against the idea of discriminating something that doesn't need discrimination such as divisions, but if there are gold and under tournaments, and invite only tournaments, then why not have female only tournaments.
