Typo I think... I doubt "Greg" is a very common name to spell out in Korean... and it sounds a little like Grack. Plus I'd like to think that Boxer is too gm to intentionally mispell a name

As for SC2, everybody know the skill required is much less than in SC1... And (again) I don't think Idra is the best foreigner : one of the best, that's for sure, but in a big 1v1 tournament with the greatest, nobody can say if he is going to win or not. If there is one thing that we can be sure about Idra is that he is the most overrated foreigner (everybody say he is so awesome, yet he don't achieve so much, in my eyes what Jinro achieved after a few weeks in korea is way more impressive).

Jinro has been in Korea since before GSL season 1, he didn't show up a few weeks ago. My bad, why was it that i feel like his level just increased real fast this last weeks ? As for talent in SC, for me talent is the ability to make decision, sudden strat change or original unit combo that will lead to a change in the meta game: that's why I respect so much people like Moon or MadFrog despite their grey result in SC2: they shaped their own race in wc3 with inventive play and decision making. That's talent! But that's really something a few people have. Micro/Macro/Safe Build is just something you get with practice.

Idra doesn't GG. People cry. Grow some balls people, seriously. I'm a angry gamer when I game because I get into the game, I identify alot with IdrA; He cares and he gets angry when he feels he hasn't lost because it was his skills but some other factor: I understand him completely. He has badmouthed alot of people, he gets it returned, who cares. No one can seriously pretend he does not add flavour and spice to e-gaming... without people like him it would be godamn boring. I'm Swedish and I've met morrow, he's a boring guy in many ways and I'd never care for esports if it was all serene tossers with no passion. IdrA atleast seems to have some personallity.

Even in the end of BW he was not the best foreigner (one of the best, that we agree, but he was not clearly dominating the foreign scene at all). Wait, what? Aside from TSL2, IdrA was definitely dominating the foreign scene at the end. He had a really good stretch where he was winning everything.

The issue I have with Idra is that he keeps going "safe standard" builds but loses anyway in the early game. Thus the only conclusion I can come up with is that his standard play just isn't up to par. Like no one dares cheese Flash because they know it won't work. Aggressive play is usually the best way to beat a less skilled opponent and I think that's why Idra gets cheesed a lot. Sooner or later, people will have to open their eyes to how he's not delivering any results. Ever. We waited years for something to happen in Broodwar and still nothing. Even in foreign tournaments, Idra was not really delivering. And the sc2 scene will only attract more and more good players which will just raise the skill ceiling even higher. EDIT: he had it coming anyway, I was getting so sick of his BM and poor results. Even FBH manages to put up good games vs A-team players. Idra never even got televised A huge number of games flash loses are due to hyperaggression, including OSL/MSL finals games and the semifinal he lost to ForGG. Often that's from being overly greedy, but the same can be said about some of IdrA games. In BW his results were consistently high in the non-korean scene, and while his korean results weren't stellar (1-2 loss to A-teamer Trap in GOM, 1-2 to Jaehoon in ro4 of indiv qualifiers), it's definitely not 'nothing'. You can say that he performed below your expectations if you were hoping for something more, but definitely not that he hasn't delivered anything.

Idra calls you straight out bad when you beat him. That's nerd rage. There are somany times where he talks shit on somebody for making a decision when he's not even correct. He doesnt understand that being the least creative player in the entire GSL is a weak point, and he doesn't put very much thought into other people's strategies. He just assumes they are worse than him because they're not Idra. he's no idiot, but he certainly has tunnel vision about pretty much everything. +1 User was temp banned for this post.
