Question about Casting

So recently I really wanted to get into the SC II Casting scene (late and overpopulated I know...). However, I have a slight problem when it comes to casting, and its that my computer isn't the newest thing on the block.

The only settings that I can play the game on are the lowest specs, meaning that besides the units moving around, the game doesn't have that many animations. When I look around on YouTube, all the casters are casting at least in High, and that makes sense, how many people want to watch a game on low graphics?

So I guess what I'm most interested in is would you watch games that had the graphics set to low?

If your casting is good I would actually prefer to watch the game in low graphics, it's easier to learn from it. Most casters show max graphics because it's what the average spectator wants though, so beware.

if your computer can only handle lowest settings, is your FPS still acceptable while streaming?
or even just recording? when i tried recording sc2 on my shitty laptop i get like 26 FPS which is WATCHABLE but thats pretty much it

You should see the amount of complains people post on Youtube when it's not in HD. So I personally wouldn't bother, but if you enjoy it, then why not?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone (especially you Chill, but that's just because I'm a fanboy). I'll try record a sample video after school today.

Haters going to hate on youtube anyway XD.

For good reason. Low quality Sc2 looks horrible, and with a lot of channels offering frequent videos in HD there would be little reason to watch a low quality cast unless the caster is brilliant

It's not for good reason - The feedback on the quality of the graphics significantly dwarfs the feedback on anything else. It's like 10:1.

I definitely prefer high settings, if you cast on low i'd only tune in if you are clearly a superior caster from the rest of the lot ^_^ good luck.
