It seems like there is a few trance listeners here on teamliquid.net also, so figured that I should make one blog that emphasises on the essential releases on trance. I'm going to post 3-4 essential releases and one tune that I've been banging lately with each blogpost.

Dance 2 Trance - Moon Spirits CD Album
You cannot talk about classic trance releases without mentioning Dance 2 Trance. Formed by Rolf Ellmer aka Jam El Mar (The other part of Jam & Spoon duo also) and DJ Dag. Dance 2 Trances every EP should be featured here but decided to include the one Album that collects all their earliel classics (P.Ower of the american natives, hello san fransisco and We Came In Peace).

Sasha - Xpander EP
Hugely influential EP by the master of old progressive sound Sasha. Still played all over the world. Title track Xpander is a masterpiece of older hypnotic progressive trance sound. And immortal melody and more than a few sound engineering gimmicks to keep you more than satisfied. However the true gem in the EP is the track "Belfunk", groovy bassline and also a melody to die for.
Co-Producer for Xpander was Charlie May who is one of the pioneers of the 90s Progressive House Scene and one part of the "Spooky" duo.
