I started pretty early though. getting to play diablo when I was like 7 was just awesome, games were still magical to me and I was yet to be jaded by just seeing numbers. I played it at a friends house for a whole night after he fell asleep, that was my first experience with battl.net, even though I owned starcraft I had no idea you could play online with other people. I couldn't wait to go home the next day and tell my dad that there was a whole other aspect to to this game that we just played lan with occasionally. 80's and 90's kids grew up with games that didn't hold your hand, you learned by experimentation and failure. I tried showing one of my little cousins mega man and he just gave up when he couldn't get past the first few screens, most kids are used to games just holding your hand through the whole experience with little to no challenge. | ||

Many kids and teens from elementary to high school in Mexico would watch Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon every Saturday morning. It makes me sad how they were treated so badly in the U.S. | ||
