I remember watching Space Jam, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Independence Day in the theater with my mom back when I lived in Boston.

No offense, but I don't know how kids born in the 90's were able to appreciate lots of what has been posted here. OP was born the same year as when Streets of Rage came out...

Most of this stuff brings back fond memories of my childhood (80's kid).

I always thought "90s kid" means sb who was born in like 80-85, so by the time 90s hit he would actually have a thought proccess other than "food -> toilet -> sleep".

sorry man, you were like 15 by the time space jam rolled around, like 12 whenever powerrangers was the shit, youd be a creepy ass kid to be that old and still into that stuff. You ain't a 90's kids.

I was born 1990, I got the best cartoons, I got pokemon, I got snes and n64, I watched barney, power rangers.

I really feel bad for the kids nowadays, have you seen their cartoons?
no dexters lab, ed edd eddy, doug, rugrats....sigh.

so it kinda confuses me when '91-92s go nostalgic over stuff that happened in 90s. You were like 1 when Terminator 2 came out. 2-3 when Pulp Fiction came out. You were 3-5 when stuff like Duke Nukem, Red Alert and SC came out. No way in hell could you appreciate all the inside jokes and etc in those games and movies. And so on.

You're 00s kids. Late 90s at most.

yeah why would I ever go nostalgic over barney, power rangers, pokemon, rugrats, scooters, all that, space jam, doom, diablo, they all happened in the 2000's!

Pretty sure you are retarded.

hmm.... pretty obvious sarcasm, guess you couldn't see it.

and why exactly can't people that were born later enjoy these things if they stuck around long enough for their childhood? please explain this to me, cause you just seem pretentious. I was born in '92 and I played the shit out of streets of rage with my friends, some of my fondest gaming memories are of streets of rage, along with diablo 1, warcraft 2 and starcraft. I started pretty early though.

I'd just like to say that I too watched Space Jam every day for about 3 months when it became my brother's favorite movie. I can recite almost the whole thing while watching it, it's almost a perfect movie. Kids jokes, adult jokes, Bill Murray, Newman, Danny Devito, awesome music, awesome story.

getting to play diablo when I was like 7 was just awesome, games were still magical to me and I was yet to be jaded by just seeing numbers. I played it at a friends house for a whole night after he fell asleep, that was my first experience with battl.net, even though I owned starcraft I had no idea you could play online with other people. I couldn't wait to go home the next day and tell my dad that there was a whole other aspect to to this game that we just played lan with occasionally.

80's and 90's kids grew up with games that didn't hold your hand, you learned by experimentation and failure. I tried showing one of my little cousins mega man and he just gave up when he couldn't get past the first few screens, most kids are used to games just holding your hand through the whole experience with little to no challenge.

I am an 80's kid, but in the early and mid 90's, these two series played a major role in defining anime fandom in Latin American and other parts of the world (Saint Seiya is late 80s though).

Many kids and teens from elementary to high school in Mexico would watch Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon every Saturday morning.

It makes me sad how they were treated so badly in the U.S.

I lived in China until the age of 10 so from my equal division of western/eastern culture, I have to say Space Jam is fucking terrible.

Almost, but not quite, as bad as baby. Not many worse things I can think of.

You're right. I'm a 90s kid (93), and I honestly forgot about Space Jam. It WAS good.

I'm gonna rewatch that right now.

i find it ironic that most of these kids born in the 90s claiming to be 90s kids are the ones who diss brood war for having old graphics and outdated gameplay

Lol, I don't. If anything, growing up in the 90s has taught me to value content over display. For example, I still love old school Super Smash Brothers (64 and Melee), even thought the graphics aren't as great as Brawl.

Also, anyone remember Histeria?

I fucking loved that show.
