First off, I'd like to say that I really thought about not posting this at all. I feel like this blog's subject matter will be extraordinarily controversial, depressing, and demoralizing.

But I'm going to post it anyway.

I am a 90s kid. I was born in '91 (represent). I played with stretch armstrong reissues, went to Scholastic book fairs at school, watched power rangers, the whole sha-bang. But along came a movie so great, so awesome, so rad, so Looney, that its wonders couldn't be fully understood by just one viewing.

I'm talking about Space Jam.

Air Jordan Space Jams:

The jacket I wish I wore:

I watched this movie every fucking day of my life for at least a year. I had just gotten over my Hocus Pocus addiction of about 2 years, and I was looking for something new.

Space Jam had it all. Quirky aliens, action packed drama, all of my favorite cartoon characters, and Michael goddamn Jordan, captain of the Chicago goddamn we'll rip your fucking face off because we're the fucking 90s Chicago Bulls Bulls.

What more could a kid ask for?

Well, the 2000s roll around, and kids have forgotten about the ballad of Space Jam (or have never even heard of it), and they're listening to all kinds of riff-raff that plays over the radio 24 hours a day.

Yes, I think you know where this is going. Unfortunately, to finish my tale, I have to take you there:

Kids nowadays are sick. They're ill. They're diseased. They need to be quarantined as soon as possible.

Alas! This Scop's sad story must come to an end. An end that we may not appreciate for how diabolical it really is. An end that we did not see coming, but our age has not the time for ignorance.

Watch the first couple seconds of each video after where I have them start.

Tip: Listen for the bass line.

I'm sorry 90s kids:

Your childhood has now been ruined.

Maybe I have a better memory than most people, but from about 95 and on I really started remembering the 90s in detail, but like I said, I still remember things like Hocus Pocus. The poor people born in the 80s feel threatened by someone taking their decade away or something. No one can say what people can or can't remember, so stop trying; just share the memories.

The two songs are not the same. They're not even much alike. Justin Bieber didn't fucking copy Space Jam. I made this thread because it hit me that they have a similar beat at the beginning. Why else would I connect the two songs and put effort into making an OP? I don't go around trying to find songs that sound like the Space Jam theme all day. It's just something to make you laugh and feel nostalgic, don't get your panties all bunched up about it.

I enjoyed Space Jam as a kid, now I think it mostly sucks. But that song still makes me nostalgic : 3

That song and that movie was awesome! I remembered when I first saw it, I really wanted to start playing basketball. Unfortunately there was no team around

Rofl. Two things:
1. That Space Jam song sucks. Baby is actually better.
2, Space Jam was good, but it's for little kids. The two best songs of the 90s came from 1 series that only men could enjoy. Don't bring that late 90s crap in here.

Ship it.

EDIT: Honorable mention.

lol at OP. You are barely a 90s kid. Really, people that are actually born in the 90s arent considered 90s kids. Sure you were old enough to watch the Lion King ans Space Jam, but by the time you could divide or ride a bike the decade was basically over lol. You basically grew up in the 2000's. Just saying...cuz its a bit funny haha.

I was born in 83...but i dont remember 1 thing from the 80s lol. I remember everything about the 90s though cuz thats when i grew up and where my early teen years were spent haha. You talking about the Bulls of the 90s and how you remember them is is hilarious lol.

Space Jam is the greatest movie ever and anyone who said otherwise is wrong. Michael Jordan, Wayne Knight, and Bill Murray all in one movie? Epic.

The soundtrack really was amazing though. In my senior year of high school, the club I was in played Capture The Flag, and I would bring the Space Jam soundtrack and we'd all get pumped up by it haha. Good times, good times.

Exactly. Thats what i just said a few posts up lol. OP is hilarious. Same with everyone else in this thread born in like 92 thinking they are a 90s kid lol. You guys missed half the decade while you were in the womb, learning to poop , and then walk.

we had it good. Being born in '90 I can say I miss my childhood.

The Karate Kid?

god damn. that movie is awesome.

Then the new kids, never even heard of it. They never even heard of Mr. Myagi.

They now have Will smiths little kid in China to believe is the Karate Kid. God their childhood sucks.

We had Goldeneye, Super Smash Brothers 64, and Gameboy color!

We had beanie babies, pokemon cards, nerf guns, and Tyco RC remote control cars!

We had Captain Planet, Saved By The Bell, Boy Meets World, Wacky Races, and DragonBallZ.

The new kids are missing out!
