I am making the switch over from a traditional wallet to a card holder. My wallets are pretty chunky/chubby in general even if you don't have a wad of cash (like me).
When I pay for things such as lunch/dinner or other materials, (online shopaholic here) I use either my credit or debit card as I find it to be a lot more convenient than just taking out money and or counting change. What's even better is that you pay exactly what the price is and you don't have to worry about getting a lot of change back. Add that list to my phobia of touching really soiled objects such as coins and cash, I make the ideal poster boy for endorsing card holders.
I've seen a lot of card holders, such as ones for business cards, and some are just the simple transparent ones where you keep a thin stack of cards, usually around 5-7. I'm not looking for those business ones because I don't have a business card, haha. It is for my 6 main cards, which is the Debit, Credit, Drivers, Bus pass, Library card and Student card.
So TL, do you know/own any card holder wallets, if you do, please feel free to recommend them here. And also, what are your thoughts about having a wallet? Getting bulky? Or you love the fact that its there in your back pocket every single time?

the only reason i dont like using cards exclusively is transaction fees and then every single purchase ive made is easily trackable, big brother paranoia wah wah.
i love having a wallet, put so many other useful things in there. I've never ever put anything in my back pockets especially a wallet because i enjoy having an aligned spine.

Been using a card holder for like 8 years. Never looked back.
debit credit DL student card little cash

@ divinek, you are right about the spine thing, I got a few sores from prolonged sitting with it in your butt pocket.
@TimmyMac may i know which one you use?

I like bulk. It makes me feel strong, manly, and secure.

I use this:
Dopp Regatta 88
I've used it for the past 8 years or so and love it. Part of difficulty in the change from fat wallet to thin is cutting down on the number or cards you have (my parents always tell me to use my credit card and keep my debit card at home). I currently carry 6 cards in this particular wallet (which is near the max ... maybe you could go as far as 8). I also carry some 5's 10's and 20's but very few. There are a few other popular thin wallets/cardholders around. If I remember correctly either lifehacker.com or zenhabits.com had a really good article awhile back (years ago) about these thin wallets.

Card holder sucks. Can't put european driving license inside. I hope one day in France we will have credit card format driving licenses. I mean even if you say you use your credit card most of the time, do you even use it when you get a 1euro stuff at the bakery ? Where do you put the change ? I almost only use cash, I like feeling the thick wad of notes in my pockets ^_^

I'm in the US, but yes, even for small stuff I try to use my credit card because I get cashback from using it. If I carry my backpack it'll have a bunch of change in it, but if I only have my wallet I use the credit card.
If you're talking about mass trans by bus or train ... I use cards nowadays so you don't necessarily have to use change and small bills to pay for fare.

I need a money clip or somethin. My wallet is way too clunky.

Who still back pockets their wallet???
I too use mostly plastic, but I find card holders real annoying. Rocked one for a year or so and ditched it. Fell apart fast, never had enough room for stuff.

Yeah I was gonna say, the last time I did that was warped tour years ago and ended because i had to kick some emo punk douche in the head when he tried swiping it as I was surfing by

I have a pretty big wallet, though I have thinned it out a few times over the course of the past several years. Its about 1 inch thick, prob a little less. I have thought about getting a different one a few times, as it is starting to fall apart, but Im now too attached to it to let it go. I keep alot of crap in it including: student ID, Drivers license, health insurance card, prescription card, credit card, debit card, RFID card for work, and triple A card and any gift cards I might have.(currently 3) I could never sit on a wallet I thought it was uncomfortable when I was like 7 and got my first wallet so its front pocket 4 life.

A lot of minicards can go on your keychain instead of as a card in your wallet (grocery or gas cards).

I use a SlimClip. Best wallet/card-holder/metal thingy I've ever seen:
