the movie is "serious", its Asylum that produces these kinds of movies.
They also have some golden hits like : Snakes on a Train, Transmorphers, The da Vinci Treasure, Pirates of treasure island and so on. Basically I think the term they use is "Mockbusters"

The Asylum is pretty well known for making awful knock-off films, things like Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus and Paranormal Entity, a shameless ripoff of Paranormal Activity.

Oh yeah, and Transmorphers, a movie about humans fighting transforming robots from space.

Well the lesson learned at the end of the movie will be not to name your ship the titanic and go the exact route of the other 2 titanics that sink.

Well, you know how your *Insert ignorant relative title here* (mom) calls your 'skateboard' a wheelieboard, or 'starcraft' - starwars. She rents movies, the covers look similar. Its like a scam, they work off people's ignorance.
