SC2 is the first RTS I've ever played (competitively). I went from silver to diamond in 2 weeks, thank you Day9. I'm now a mid diamond level player but I don't have the opportunity to mass game so I don't really know where I stand. Do I think I'm going to be a progamer? No. I wish you the best but you shouldn't be so quick to assume you are somehow special and going to make a big splash in the sc2 scene. Im not trying to be mean but I really think you need to be more realistic and/or honest with yourself. Cheers. Zerg fighting!

i honestly believe you should at least be over 2000 to be good as the other pros nowadays
so if you're 1700 points as the sc2ranks.com tells me
you gotta work harder than what youre doing now to be pro unless you given up
not saying this to get you down but you don't look that impressive to me from the way you're looking now

Well, it's been four months and the OP said we would have heard of him by now (or he would have at least won a tournament or something?). It seems he has failed in this goal, as I've bumped this thread a few times and asked for updates, only to be ignored by the OP. I've also PM'd the OP and asked about his progress in this regard, also to be ignored.

It would seem that f0rg0tten0ne will never be a pro-gamer, and in fact doesnt even seem to be very good at all (he never even broke 2000 points?). Not really sure why I'm bumping this again, but I actually followed this thread over the last four months and was interested in the progress of the OP. I guess I was just hoping that after creating a thread like this the OP would at least have the decency to update us on his progress or the balls to admit defeat.

Anyway, I'm not impressed.

I think this post from another thread pretty much sums up this thread. You can say you're gonna go pro, but if you don't put in the time...and aren't already massively gosu or had the background...then it's gonna be impossible to go pro.

you're at 400 1v1 games now
can you be at 600 in 5 days? 800 in 10 days? 1600 in 1 month? that's the kind of dedication you will need; 40 games every single day. on top of those 40 games per day, you need some degree of natural ability or understanding. basically, I think being a successful progamer will be impossible for you to achieve during the next two years. if you play 10 hours per day for the next two years, you might be getting somewhere, but do you really think this is easier than going to school? it's way, way harder. try playing 10 hours per day for the next two weeks, see if you're able to do it. (I mean constantly gaming 1v1- not sitting in front of your computer for 10 hours and playing 1 game every hour.) if you're not able to do that for two weeks (and frankly, I think you won't be - we're talking at least 5-600 games in 2 weeks here), then you certainly cannot do it for 2 years.

speed; to perform every action required for optimal play, you gotta be fast. no way around it.. while you do become faster through playing, some people have a hard time ever getting above 150 apm no matter how hard they try(not how hard they spam), while others find 250 relaxing.
