I had my dew in the freezer and forgot about it! When I finally remembered I was expecting a monstrous pile of dew-goo exploded all over the place... luckily I enjoyed a delicious half-frozen dew slushie instead :D
I like original dew and nothing else. I've tried distortion, code red, and typhoon. They are all crap. However throwback isn't bad... it's just missing the "kick". Anyone tried other flavors? What do they taste like?
- Distortion tastes like dew that sat out overnight and was re-cooled and re-carbonated
- Typhoon tastes like a liquid version of flinstones vitamins
- Throwback tastes OK but has a dull aftertaste
- Code red tastes like ass

most are bad but original is ok.
Also, the obligatory
Two proven urban legends about Mountain Dew exist. One is that it causes shrunken testicles and/or penis size. The other is that it lowers sperm count. Both facts are attributed to the dye Yellow #5 (tartrazine).[26][27]

Original is definitely the best but I do enjoy voltage quite a bit. Live Wire is pretty good too (and it's an ac/dc song so you can't go wrong).

Yeah I remember now, I did try that one. It was ok. I really want to try the citrus cherry one

That's a lot of flavours. We only have 1 Mountain Dew flavour over here in the UK. I actually only saw it in a shop recently and decided to try it since I know Americans love the stuff. So I tried it and it was just lemonade. It was a yellow bottle called Mountain Dew Energy, that's it. Wasn't anything special at all, just regular lemonade. They need to bring out more flavours over here I guess.

You drink carbonated lemondade over there?
Reasons like that why I'm a Canadian hoping for seperation from you wackos.

I see Code Red the most apart from the Original, but like you said, it tastes like ass.
Actually, Cherry Fusion's the worst. It's got even more cherry flavor than Code Red, which makes it taste even worse. Thought Baja Blast was okay, but nothing special. Kinda tastes like Sprite with some other fruity flavors to it. Original Dew's still the best by far.

I love Mountain Dew Voltage. It's my favorite soda since Vanilla Coke.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I think Lilt is lemon flavoured and isn't fizzy? Haven't had it in years. Maybe just cloudly lemonade. I dunno, I rarely drink lemonade of any kind.

It's a tie between original and livewire for me, but I voted for livewire simply because I can rarely find it (only out during the summer).

That's what it was. I completely forgot, but I tried this mountain dew flavor once in another state, but I couldn't remember the name of it. God, it was so good. I wish they had some up here in the northeast

Makes sense why I found that flavor at Taco Bell :p
Still wish they'd have it up here

Mountain Dew in America is a Unique lemon and lime kind of taste ... The Uk version which got re-released recently is slightly different to the American one i think. Because some of the ingredients (not sure which) aren't allowed here. So it tastes slightly different but it still isn't just lemonade.
I also don't understand the comment about carbonated lemonade. Its a fizzy drink like many other fizzy drinks like Coca Cola or Sprite. Sprite is also a lemon and Lime drink and Lilt is pineapple and grapefruit not lemonade. Some weird confusion in this thread about a simple topic tbh
Anyway from the ones ive tried when i was in America last... Orginal, Code red and Baja Blast... the Original is still the best flavour imo.

Orginal gangster.
Give him the main flavour and all is well.
Back on the topic of Lemon beverages, I really need to figure this out.
This is lemonade

This is a carbonated lemon drink, not lemonade at all -

Brits , do we agree?

voltage is really good but you can't beat the original, code red is pretty meh I had no idea there were so many flavors of mountain dew : O
|
I don't think I've met anybody who has confused Sprite with lemonade, or even a lemon drink.
|
They should make a breathalyzer that measures your Monster Energy Drink blood-level, so cops know if you're a rapist.
|
I honestly didn't even know there were this many flavours. I've only tried Original and Code Red, and I think I enjoy Code Red more.
|
I was all over Code Red the first few years it was out, but I don't drink Dew that much anymore.
However Pitch Black was by far the best Mountain Dew flavor ever made, and 2nd only to Crystal Clear Pepsi in my all-time favorite carbonated beverage list.

Lol at this convo but from the wiki...
"Clear" lemonade: In many western European countries, the term limonade, from which the term "lemonade" is derived, originally applied to unsweetened water or carbonated soda water with lemon juice added, although several versions of sugar sweetened limonade have arrived on store shelves.
"Cloudy" lemonade (U.K. term): In the U.S., Canada, Pakistan, India (Nimbu Paani), and Iran lemonade refers to a mixture of lemon juice, sugar, and uncarbonated water, although there are many versions which contain artificial flavors instead of actual lemon juice. In India, Nimbu Paani is a common household preparation, made using freshly-squeezed lemons, granulated sugar, salt, pepper (and other spices according to personal taste) and is invariably consumed fresh.
"Fizzy" lemonade: In France, the modern use of the term limonade refers to sweet carbonated lemon soft drinks (the uncarbonated version would be called citronade). In Germany the term Limonade is used for sweet carbonated citrus soft drinks. Likewise, in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand the term mainly refers to a colourless, carbonated, sweet soft drink containing either natural or artificial lemon flavor, such as Schweppes Lemonade.
When someone says Lemonade i think of the last one "Fizzy" lemonade. Sprite is not lemonade i agree

The user did mention that it's supposed to be for collection purposes but...
105$ + 18$ shipping and handling? Good Lord. He also mentions that due to the fact that it's over 5 years old, the carbonation is gone. But does it work like that? If a soda is kept unopened within the can, I think the acidity should still be there, wouldn't it?
|
I think code red is the 2nd best to the original. But you get sick of it quickly.
Tbh, Full Throttle energy drink tastes almost exactly like mt dew and is better.
I don't remember what flavor it was that I tried, but it was white and it tasted almost exactly like squirt but worse. I felt cheated.

this is complete garbage and im tired of arguing this IRL
please provide proof of your allogation that mt dew is a steroid and why other products that use yellow #5 (skittles, starburst, any yellow candy) do not lead to ball shrinkage but mt dew does.
from what i've gathered, your testacles are a gland. and as such the only way to shrink them is to alternatively provide your body with the secretion that they create, in this case, testosterone. so essentially you're saying that yellow #5 is testosterone substitute, which i'm pretty sure the FDA would've picked up on by now
