EPTSorry for the lack of blog posts. I know how much you guys enjoy and keep up with my wonderful posts, but between being an RA among other school activities I haven't had time for Starcraft (I know, it's a shame).
Anyways, I came back to say that I've been on a jazz mood as of late (it might have to do with the swing dancing I've been doing lately). They're more along the modern lines and it's lyrical, so if you're looking for John Coltrane or something not-so-melodic, don't come here.
Reign of Kindo is a melodic jazzy band that is under the Candyrat studio and I gotta say that they're wonderful. Sure, the singer is not the best but then again the melody and other things definitely make up for it all.
With a mixture of mostly love songs, this five piece band is one of the best I've seen in modern jazz. Most of the time modern jazz just goes up and down odd scales that leave those in the audience entertained but not wowed. I feel that Reign of Kindo is not that type. They allow the audience to interact with the jazz.
Their best track in my opinion is "Just Wait."
