Yes this is a brag blog, deal with it.
So I decided to get myself two screens again (been on a old CRT monitor for the past 6 months) and found two sensible screens, BenQ 24" LCD G2420HD, for a good price, $200 per screen, and decided to get two.
So I got them yesterday and holy fucking shit they're big :D going from a 4:3 19'' CRT to two WS 24'' TFTs is quite the change. I mean I love it but I also think I'm gonna break my neck while switching screens :D
Anyway, here's a pic:

Actually going from 4:3 to 16:10 or 16 is quite a significant change.
Wide-screen = win imo ...
It's only bad when you play BW
Congrats on your new monitors, look sexy =P Now get a black Dell keyboard and you're set.

Does anyone other than me automatically think that someone is talking about the size of their danger zone whenever they see "inches," no matter whether its 4" or 24"?
Probably not, just me.

You'll get used to it and very fast you'll find every other screens too small

It's not a brag blog if you leave out your league and points within the SC2 ladder.
Oh, and on topic, those screens look damn sweet. Never ever had any widescreens at all (nor tried). tt

Old style looking keyboards are the best ^_^ Nice monitors, glad you're enjoying it :D I currently only have a 20inch widescreen right now and borrowing my sisters 17inch ^_^

Hahaha, you wtf pwned him. :D

you must not play much starcraft. I have a 21.5" screen and I think it is a bit big for having good screen awareness. 24" would be way too big imo.

Haha nice setup. Is that geass? :D

Yeah I know what you mean, almost exactly the same with me. When I built my new computer a few months ago for beta, I got myself a 24 inch widescreen monitor after having used my shitty laptop with a 17 inch screen for the past 6 years. It felt so frickin massive at first, I was in awe.
And now...

Lets just say this guy speaks the truth, it feels so normal now.

Code Geass FUCK YEA!

i just bought my 23" for 160$ and i must say the difference is incredible.
|
I love my 21.5" and I couldn't imagine having a larger screen >_>

After reading a thread from Mora, your blog title changed in my mind to something completely else :D

I'm using a 42" and a 22" (both 1080p)
Once you go HDTV, you can't go back :D
As far as "screen awareness" 22 inch isn't anywhere near too big. It obviously depends on how close you sit to your monitor but anything above 37" starts to be a problem because you have to turn your head to see everything

ITT: OP brags about acquiring two new "huge" displays and subsequently gets "pwnz0red" by other users with HUGE displays. LOL, INTERNET.

2 24" monitors is nothing to be embarrassed about. 24" is a very nice sized monitor

Uh. I payed 500$ for 1 24" monitor instead of buying an HDTV for a reason. A good monitor looks way better.

Code Geass one of my favorite animes too! The ending was very meh, though...
I'm on a 17" laptop screen o-o
One day, maybe I'll get a desktop with a sexy display.

Have to play in windowed mode though so I can see supply count.

I don't know, but I am am uncomfortable using displays that are not 4:3 or 5:4 ... I think I'm just too old fashioned D:

Razer <3 I've had a 24" for about 3 years now and it seems so small now :[ Time for an upgrade.
|
I have a 16: 9, 4:3 and 5:4 monitors, and I found the 5:4 to be the best for gaming
|
Wow you guys have it so clean on your desks...
|
I switched from a 15.9 inch laptop screen to a 22 inch widescreen (with lower resolution :/), so I can imagine the change.
|
as stated before, that's what she said

It still could've been if I could see the amount of friends on facebook after zooming in, too bad it's blurry.

Sweet screen. I'm on 19 and I think that's enough for me.

Nice! I have a shitty 15' monitor, so I run a HDMI cable to my 50' plasma tv. Get to sit on the couch to play video games. I really need to invest in a decent moniitor though...
