It seems that we have a mass influx of hackers in our midst! Here I am, friendly ol' Arlock queuing up for a ladder match, minding my own business when I get matched with a HAXORRRR!!!!
So I spawn 9 on LT as toss. He spawns 12 as Toss. Nothing unual about this at all!
We start our game I get my gateway, cyber, gateway and get a stargate to do some fun phoenix harass.
Now I had control of the watch tower for pretty much the entire game and I noticed he moved in with his first zealot to attack, I had a zealot out but did not want him either getting away/ getting to the mineral line. So i chrono out 1 sentry...sentry pops, he runs away...odd I thought.
The game continues and he moved his ENTIRE ARMY to my ramp, doesnt move in.. waits a second than retreats back to his base again without even poking in.
(Remember I had control of the watch tower so I could see all of this happening and each time he moved in and moved back I thought it was very, very odd.
Now it gets fun, I finally have 4 phoenix and moved out with them to go kill some probes, but alas! He moved his stalkers into position before I get there...exactly where I fly in..
I enter some fun chat into the game Arlock: "there better be an obs or I'm reporting this..." VnRock: "Go ahead faggot"
I knew it was true. He engages me at the watch tower finally after i chrono out a few voids and your going to have to watch the rep to find out what happens .
Make sure when you watch, to immediatly put the game into his perspective to see him look through fog of war... over and over again throughout the entire game.
So what's the deal with maphackers in sc2? It seems rather easy to catch them since the camera position gets saved. Also, when a hacker is caught what will happen? If the key gets banned from multiplayer then it's 60 bux for another key lol

I reported him in game and on the battle.net, just doing my part .
On the blizzard forums it says that the key is banned for 6 months or so, unfortunatly blizzard "cannot afford" -_- the manpower to employ people to watch replays all day of "alleged" hackers. So odds of them actually doing something is unlikely I think. Im hoping that 1/4 of the legit hackers are dealt with but who knows

If Blizzard ever actually gets around to banning them...
I can see what you mean though. If people actually get banned for this, it's quite a loss for the one small choice of maphacking.
They will definitely get banned, in fact I'm betting warden is scanning and tagging accounts now as we speak. There are like 3 public maphacks with almost zero protection available mind you and you can rest assured blizzard are aware of those. It's just that blizzard has and always will be banning in waves.
edit: think about it, the very same hacks people are using today went public in the beta. It would be quite ridiculous if blizzard didn't catch on and update warden for the actual release build.

maphacking isn't a small choice! It's a life decision down the path of crime and a condemnation to Hell.
...maybe that's going a little far, but hax r not cool.

I only hope this is true. But how long will we have to wait before people start getting banned? One month? Two months? Possibly longer? ):
Yes it would be ridiculous if Blizzard didn't catch on... but let's face it Blizzard has not been making the most intelligent moves regarding SC2 and Battlenet since the beta client was released.
Shame you had to deal with one of these assholes, Arlock. Unfortunately, until Blizz realizes that bnet 2.0 is garb compared to HoN I don't think they're going to actually do anything. On second thought, they probably do realize and still aren't going to do anything. Blizz was never very good about banning hackers anyways (I played a lot of diablo 2 and if you didn't maphack in that game you weren't playing it right!)
