Making cheap/healthy food doesn't take very much time at all, you can just eat a lot of raw vegetables and fruits, and chicken. Pasta is quick and easy too. OP: mooooove out!

1. How much you have in your savings 2. How much your cash flow is 3. Job security 4. Housing/rental market price 5. Careful consideration of sub-factors - skills to live alone/roommate - doing housework non-stop after work - talking about moving out and whether or not they will support this notion - your ability to cook/eat properly - your life goals/ambitions

Something to note though, even if you do move out you will still spend plenty of your free time doing dishes, cleaning up, ect ect. I would move out

I dunno anything about CA rent, but $400 a month sounds like enough to pay rent on your own! And if they are making you do more work at home and always bothering you, there doesn't seem to be much upside to staying at home.

It kinda seems as if they want you to get a move on, charging rent and all. Get some advice and get the ball rolling.

OP: mooooove out! Use whole-grain pasta or brown rice if you can. Much more fiber and only a slightly more expensive cost. Much better for you.
